- Acrylic pour on terracotta pots and rainbow tree ring pour!
I'm getting ready for spring with a nice bright rainbow color palette I wanted to decorate some clay pots for decoration and these turned out really well! I have a ton of other colors that I am going to use in the future. I found the smallest ones at the dollar store and then purchased some on Amazon and Home Depot. I will finish these with a gloss spray.
I had a lot of leftover paint so I decided to do another pour. I did a tree ring pour on an 8" x 8" canvas. It turned out sooo cool! I lost a lot of the blue and purple so I will probably repour these colors on another canvas. My husband really likes this one since it is different from a lot of the other colors I normally use.

I LOVE THE LIGHT PRIMARY COLORS ,GOLD AND PINK THANK YOU❤❤😊😊😊😊
I put my pots over a tin to elevate while pouring this allows me to run my finger around the top of the pot as it drips to eliminate lumpy finish...looks neat when dry
Thanks for the suggestion!
Love them...so excited to try this..thank you for sharing your creative idea
These look great. I think I'll give it a try. Thank you for sharing.

Pretty!!
beautiful pots! I just have a few comments that I hope are helpful - stand the pots on a toilet paper tube - the small ones - or an inverted cup that fits inside but is a little taller. This will allow the rims to drip off and if needed you can get in there and wipe them while they're still wet giving you a clean finish. Also because clay absorbs moisture - it's why they're great for planting - if you don't dry seal them after painting they may peel from the moisture coming from the inside. When I paint pots with acrylics I bake in a very low oven after the paint has completely dried- then seal the inside with a waterproof sealer. As long as the sealer is completely dried before use I've never had a problem with it affecting the plants.
Now I'm going to try making some of these - thanks for the great idea!
This are great tips. Also, I saw another site that sprayed them with sealer on the outside before pouring.
Make your own video geez
Very nice, I have done a few pots for orchids, with Demco, haven't had to put gloss on, and they are standing up great, and demco is very high gloss pouring liquid Loved the results, with all the colours
Fabuloso!!! Cuando el ser humano usa la creatividad, nunca dejamos de sorprendernos!! Gracias
You did such a superb job on the pots and especially the canvas! Your video was so easy to watch and follow. I so enjoyed watching your video. Thank you so much for sharing!!

Beautiful
Wow lovely 👍☺
Thank you, I will be watching for that one.
I love these!
Do you think the paint? If so, please let me know how. Really want to try this 🌸
Wow nice
Love it. Want to do those next. Fun.
Emma ❤🎉😊
If you take some threaded rod, you can hold the pot with a 2 or 3 foot piece of rod, by attaching it to the hole in the bottom, then fill a deep bucket with paint, and dip them, to cover the inside and outside, twirl it like glass blowing ?
painting the inside is not so good for the plants
Did you mix paint with water or anything else? You have definitely motivated me! Love them
DIE BLUMEN TOEPFE SIND SEHR SCHOEN....THE PLANTERS ARE BEAUTIFUL....:)
I love your project surfaces you use... my Sisters will love the pots... will make for them as a surprise! Thanks for another fantastic video! The canvas is a winner too 👍
maravilhoso parabéns amei vou fazer para vender
Thank you!
Super 👌
Looks great now how do you seal them.
Hi, how do you finish the edges of the pots?
hi Amanda
pots look great. did you just use acrylic paint or house paint or use something else like pour on medium etc? always looking for some new for the ladies at craft group 😊
how do you finish the top of the pot with the dry acrylic sticking out ..and hard
Nice
Красота!!
Do you seal the insides before you do this? If so, what do you use?
I like
How do you seal your pots so they stay looking great?
They are just beautiful so stunning this I could handle so lovely I want to go paint mine I have some to pour all beautiful. Thank you
Seal inside first to waterproof it. I use polyurethane. After paint treatment I use two coats of varnish and pots will withstand many seasons. If you use foam brushes you can just toss them when you are done and you get a smooth finish.
Great job. How did you finish off the top? Did you roll the paint over?
Nice 😍😘
What do you prep the paint with?
like thtyou showed it when they were finished. thank you
Are these paints mixed with water?
How do you finish the top?
Do you seal your pots inside and outside before you paint the exterior? Or is it sufficient to only seal the inside? Thank you.
Amanda's Designs thank you so much for your prompt reply. I so appreciated it. I've been working on some of these pots but stopped until I knew I was doing it correctly. Thank you again.
Is this just paint.....or did you add something to it other than water?
Amanda I love the pots! What do you seal them with please - I'd love to have a go :-)
Amanda's Designs lol after you were told about bubbling. Lol. Why is it so hard for people to admit they just didn’t know something? I’d much rather hang out with the humble. The know it alls often end up in a mess of their own creation. The humble are the ones that end up helping them out if their mess. Lol. Pride goeth before the fall. Save yourself the trip.
Muy Buenos!!!!!
Hi Amanda u don’t need to prep the pot before pouring paint..."?
Amanda's Designs thank u and then after they dry u give a coat of varnish?
Einfach großartig 👋👋👋👋
Oi que tinta você usa ? Me passa como você prepara ? Por favor obrigada seu trabalho é maravilhoso 😍
How much medium do I had to each color of paint? Thanks Terri
I use about 2 parts medium to 1 part paint.
The terra cotta pots needs to be sealed inside and out, top and bottom, if you do not do both you will still have a problem, before any paint goes on, sealing after the paint, does not "seal" the paint, water from watering the plant in side will cause the paint to "blisture" open away from the pot because the terra cotta surface will absorb moisture on one side and work through to the outer wall. I do not know of any way to "save" the artwork since the terra cotta pots were not sealed to begin if; a clear spray lacquer is enough to seal the surfaces BEFORE YOU PAINT.

I BOUGHT SOME CLAY POTS LAST YEAR TO DO A POUR.... I COMPLETELY FORGOT....I JUST POURED CANVASES ALL SUMMER LONG.....THEY LOOK LOVELY....:)
also die blumentöpfe finde ich irre schön,vielleicht sollte man dazu übertöpfe nehmen und damit der rand schöner wird sollte man vielleicht etwas ins innere setzen,zb eine papprolle
the pots look great. do you bye some acrylic colours and but water in it?
Sorry one addition - I don't think I would seal inside if I was going to grow edibles in them - too many chemicals!
What I would like to see is what you do to the top after it dries and how you finish it so that it looks uniform.
Traduire merci
👍👍👍👍,dommage ce n'est pas en français 😔😕 . Merci 😉
You should turn the cups those pots are sitting on over so you can catch and reuse that paint.
Did you seal pot first, also what paint did you use.
I sealed them after with Sargent Art gloss medium. It is a waterproof varnish.
Qual nome dessa tintas ❤❤❤
These are acrylic paints thinned down for pouring.
।
that music, ugh! maybe you should use Patio Paint since sealing is an issue.
I loved the music.
trop de peinture de gâchée dommage !!
