    Summary
    This Growatt inverter would be great if you have a large solar array and you don't want buy a battery. This would be a great inverter for a woodshop, small cabin, or RV.

    Very good execution. I have been looking at something like this too. For the house setup a backup panel for all the circuits you want to run on the backup setup could be done just like a switch for a backup generator. Since you have the hybrid inverter you can use grid power to keep it powered when you don't have sun or have run the battery down. Prioritizing solar and battery would mean you could use little to no grid power. Refrigerators and small A/C units seem like the best circuits to power as you will save the most cost over time.

    Like your videos, thanks for posting. Trying to see why you don’t have many views…. You might remove some of the specific items in your title and use broader keywords- like 48v Growatt inverter load test and review. I am no expert but thought I’d mention. CZcams also uses keywords in your first two sentences in your description. They also use the first three #keyword at the end. I like doing the same things - so keep them coming lol!

      Keep the videos coming. Professional presenters are too perfect and forget that we also need the back story and the long-term information to make our decisions. Good Job

    Do you have 120VAC input cord for the Growatt so if you were ever at a campsite with hook ups, you could have the Growatt "plugged in" so you had grid power if you wanted/needed it?
    When I do my best to copy your system I am going to add that and just set the priority on the Growatt to solar/battery that way if a long stay and clouds it would be seamless power no matter the state of the battery or solar availability.

      That's a great idea. I've sense added that chord you're referring to.... But I've never needed to use if. Definitly better that the Victron 3000 which can only support 2400 watts of appliances( pretty much one large appliance). PS... I like the Growatt P model better that this unit for RV setups.

    Awesome video, I've been looking for so long for something like this. Real world test on how well an inverter might handle a surge from inductive loads and the real inrush measurements.
    Also saw your video with the furnaces, do you know the inrush amps on those blower motors?

    • @diySolarPowerFunWithRay
      @diySolarPowerFunWithRay  Před rokem +1

      Sorry for the delay. I just measured my larger furnace in Rush current which Heats and cools my house which is about 3,200 square feet. It was only 10 amps in Rush current to start the blower motor.. I know that seems low but I think it's right because I have seen people run their furnaces on pretty small inverters.

      @@diySolarPowerFunWithRay not a problem, I really appreciate you taking the time to measure and answer my question. I'm still trying to size up my system and your videos have been great in that regards.

    So if I understand you correctly, one battery bank will run to growwatt inverters?

    What's the pount of all this? when you already know the limitation of the inverter. too much time on your hands.

    I have the same Growatt. I learned a great deal from this playlist. He did his residential garage to code in California. Most of it will be too beginner-level for you. He does however solve (I think with help from Signature Solar) the issue of bonded vs nonbonded ground and a fault the Growatt kept developing. Something to do with earth ground in the main panel only and not in the sub-panel. At least take a look.
    Thanks again for your science-based approach to experiments and learning.
