Great stuff! One constructive criticism: elaborate on snowballing or getting staggered. You teach the right thing to do (regroup) but maybe helpful for noobs to know what the wrong thing looks like. If you're completely staggered, the enemy fights a 5v1 every 10 seconds while allies have to fight a 1v5 every 10 seconds. Also you do a great job breaking down the initial split scenarios, but for new players, it's pretty safe to 4 mid 1 home, going far at low ranks looks like this: 1v1 at far, 1v0 at home, 3v4 at mid, wipe/halfwipe at mid(cuz outnumbered), enemy reinforces far, far teammate dies, the stagger snowball is in full accelleration mode. Maybe you show this stuff on your other vids tho, just found channel, subbed, gonna watch more. Great editing and explanations!

My favorite tip in the guide was the camera controls and camera settings. That stuff can be overwhelming at first and you presented it in an easily digestible fashion. In future videos, I would really be interested in essential enemy animations to look out for and react to, or a guide to interrupt peoples heal skills and resurrects. Seriously awesome guide!

my favorite tip in the guide was the opening split explanation and how the roles work in the splits. In future videos it would be really cool to see how to make decisions on how to roam and how to decide who to support if you play support.

I thought the break down of rotations and splits was extremely useful, especially when it comes to different team comps. In future videos some stream highlights would be dope, picking out some good plays, or just overall matches especially with the commentary you already do live, would be super entertaining.

Like your settings -- but I typically run with standard enemy models and colors. It's easier for me to identify team and classes when they have a standard look. And the human models are taller than Asura. XD

Sweet video thank you! I liked the tip about the keybinds. I ended up changing my heal skill around to make it easier to reach. In the future I'd like to see a video about theory crafting perhaps. Like what things to keep in mind when creating a pvp build or what makes a build meta.
I find core Warrior to be stronger than many give it credit. It's where I've found my most success.

In my opinion largest one of these tips ignored by new players when it comes to mmo pvp, is being tunnel focused on master their class, without paying attention to other claases abilties. Bare minimum, read their skills for common builds for proffs you dont play. But really its smart to just make a proff you don't play, get past the intro, and go to pvp mist place and test out abilties and see talents for builds. That way you know animations to a point, and their passives. Also by the target dummies, they have NPCs based on the 5 core races, that are proffesions, and they fight you back, thats another good way to practice.
Good morning i am new to gw2 and i am glad i found your channel i got some question sactually a lot lol i hope if you have some time to answer them. In gw2 your pvp rank and your gear is shared across account? Because i heard achievement is across account. I would like to play support and do healing not just share boons, from my small research i found they are 3 professions to do this guardian druid elemental and with eod thieves and necro i forgot about them. If is this correct can you explain me what is everyone is doing exactly i mean their strengths and wickness. In general i would like to play mainly pvp a profession as support but some times i can go as dps mainly caster off spec i hate melle dps because only support can be boring, the playstyle of support i like to play is good mobility do heals obviously and capable to support with some damage and cc in other words i dont like a support class just stand still and spamming heals like a healbot. I started play elementalist i get to level 20 i though to try pvp because people saying from level 3 you can start pvp so i try one unranked game i was clueless AF lol people on M chat was ragging and spamming me to unistall the game it was really disheartened do you think is better to try pvp as max level unlock all my traits and will be more rewarding? W i just come from 13 years wow experience to a new mmo to enjoy pvp and im completely lost :((( what's your unbiased opinion about druids in wvw and pvp as a support I know they are good in pve but they are decent support? any reply will be appreciate it.
1. Ascended and legendary gear are account bound. Exotics are character bound. PvP rank and achievements are account-wide.
2. Core Guardian, Tempest, and Support Spellbreaker are the best supports in PvP in that order.
3. Core Guard - best protective boons. Tempest - auras and damage. Support Spellbreaker - cc and boonrip.
4. You automatically unlock everything in the PvP lobby. There's no need to level a character past level 3 if you're just interested in sPvP.
5. Druids are better in WvW than PvP for support.

Thank you! All of the classes have multiple builds that are great for PvP. Warrior, necromancer, and ranger are pretty straightforward to start with but I would recommend trying them all and picking the one you resonate with the most. :)

everyone beginning should see the capture and rotation strategies. Every time I've played which is not much, its the typical free for all, battle royale in one zone only. I'm not a roamer but I would be the only one going for other nodes.

@@Shadowfall_TV yes, I play revenant and I'm pretty low elo, low silver. I can't seem to sway the outcome of well. anything that's going on across the board. I typically roam around and help out the team wherever they need it but It doesn't seem to be effective in any shape form or fashion. If I go there they send more people there and my team can't seem to capitalize on the absence of the other three players. Do I go home at start? What's my role? These things are never laid out and haven't been in any match I've been in. I've only been playing for a month now .
Hey man, what are the strongest pvp classes? Looking to narrow down all these professions when I start haha
Hey Bruno! The two best classes for ranked are Willbender and Harbinger (also happens to be the strongest duo). Support Core Guardian and Tempest are also the two strongest supports and either one can hard carry matches when played well. Vindicator is the best all-rounder because it can 1v1, survive 1vX, has a lot of damage and team utility for team fights, and has great mobility for roaming and chasing down kills. Specter is also a very good all-rounder and it has the added benefit of being able to counter supports by stealing to interrupt their important skills like rez-utilities and overloads in the case of Tempest. Untamed has one of the highest burst combos but it's definitely harder to play when starting out, it also takes a lot of skill to play successfully at a high level. Virtuoso is a great side noder because it beats Willbender, Harbinger, and Untamed and its only real counter is Bladesworn. Catalyst has a lot of build diversity and has builds to play any role well in plat.
All classes are good! You can do well on any of them when you know what you're doing but these are going to be your best bets for ranked (I listed them in a general order of strength). Also I didn't mention Bladesworn because even though it's a very strong teamfighter, it is hard countered by Harbingers which are meta and very common in ranked.

@@brunowalkowiak3432 Core warrior, ranger, guardian, necro and thief are all good. Core mesmer is fine but harder to be effective on. I would recommend staying away from core ele and engi. Although the elite specs they have are quite strong.

Hey Jose! You can jump into PvP from level 2 or 3 if that's what you're asking.
Does race matter at all in PVP?
Race only affects animation size. So it's easier to see animations from norns and charr and harder to see them from asuras. However, there is an option called standard models that anyone can turn on/off at any time to transform everyone into humans/back to their normal races.
Loved the opening splits and rotations portion, I'd love to see some more tips on when to/not to rotate!

Personally I disliked the way you described the "low hurdle entry".
I get that you don't want to scare away new players.
Still I feel that being part of a 5 player squad is really much pressure to pull your weight.
I did to matches today and got yelled at for not being able to hold an objective and walking the wrong way.
In the second match I told the group that I was new and 2 ppl immediately quit. Now I am de motivated
In larger groups this is less of a problem but in guild wars 2 it seems to be.

Eod broke the balance of this game and I hate pvp now after 7 years of playing
Some specs like Willbender and Harb are definitely overtuned but most of the EoD specs are good so there's a good amount of build diversity for people that main specific classes. Previous metas were worse imo with specs like minionmancer (AI spec) being one of the best options for side noding and teamfights. Thanks for sharing! Sorry to hear you no longer enjoy PvP, maybe you'll like it more after the June patch!

you dont have to be level 3 to pvp... just down the first boss, finish talking to NPC then you can jump in.
I do not think the animation combat in GW2 is good, it is not bad but it is not good also depends of the class, some classes skill does not have synergy at all.
Appreciate the video but all of these tips are pretty much useless until they make it so my one month old account isn't fighting people with ten year titles almost every other match i have tried.
Honestly, the opening split and rotations section was imo one of the best things to be touched on. I'm looking forward to the intermediate guide and hopefully some class/build specific tips & tricks. (when to lich, how to manage pets, etc.. is probably a common problem)

I had no idea armor actually mattered outside of the neck so the misconception was enlightening. I also think I need to spend more time learning about cc's. I already knew I needed to learn more about animations and understanding other classes a bit better, but I think I got a little more motivation to actually spend the effort to do so.
For future videos I'd like to see tips and tricks on how to use the map to your advantage (trebuchet's, using the boxes/map to your advantage) and tips on getting out of bad situations (when to stall vs when to peel out and how to do so). I'd also like a specified tier video after EOD comes out that covers the different roles of pvp: tier Roamers/ vs team fighting/ vs best support specs / vs side noders etc

The splits and rotations were super interesting, I only ever see people run 0-4-1, never really knew others were strats. I'd really like to see some more info on particular animations to watch out for, and some deep dive videos of combat situations that you can break down what your thought process was and how you survived or what you could have done better!
