I had the muffler delete done on my '05. Too loud from a stop, and a drone at 65-70 mph every time the gas pedal is used. Looking for a better cat-back system.
@@bossbrown9759 Didn't know what you meant by "fully take it out", but my post was about my current '17 Sl 450's cutouts. Nice tone on acceleration, but again no drone, since the cutouts were the only thing done.
That is just the two rear mufflers under the trunk. they bent a pipe to fit, and welded the stock tail pipe pieces back on. You must drive more aggressively for it to sound good!!
@@smartbomb13 thanks, i just wanted a little more noise on startup and when driving more agressively, im not after an obnoxious loud exhaust like a muscle car, sounds perfect, thanks

@@bossbrown9759 No, sold the car years ago. Quite happy with two 1-4" pre-muffler cutouts on each muffler. No drone.

Any check engine light? I have same car but AMG thinking about 4inch straight pipes
No, anything past the downstream O2 sensor and it shouldn't affect CEL. Good Luck
