That is the definition of Legend. I've watched a bunch of the Burns and Allen Show and it was fantastic. So funny and so groundbreaking when it came on and their son was in it.
Mr. Burns was a Legend in his own Life Time. He experienced great success in Vaudeville, on Radio, Television and in Motion Pictures. He defied age, except here.

A little melancholy to see this. George was still in pretty good shape at 95, but it wouldn't be long before he started failing, finally suffering a fall when he was about 99 from which he never really recovered. Johnny did in fact retire and was rarely seen after his last Tonight Show in 1992. Watch this and remember a "curtain call" of sorts. And be thankful you got to experience it.

On those cold snowy Winter evenings and nights there was the George Burns...Gracie Allen, our Miss Brooks and many other great shows to keep us entertained... There's something special and exciting about listening to those stories and sound effects, while building the picture in your mind... It's available now just as it was 15 or 20 years ago when I downloaded the shows. I even had some on cassette tape that was available in the the late 1980s. So yeah generation x hello lol.
I hope you have bought his CD's. There are a few available and it is always wonderful to listen to him singing. Another person who was always great, and is on a few CD's is Jimmy Durante. Both Geaorge and Jimmy were the epitome of what true entainers were. Also look for George's book called "All My Best Friends". It is an autobiography of all the people that he knew throughout his life.

What's the name of the song Burns sings? I can't find the song anywhere else. There is another song called Monkey Rag, but this is different.
