  • Government Land Sales Programme 2H2024? A Review of the 10 Sites! And how to improve our land sales program and our urban planning system.
    I am going to talk about the Government Land Sales Programme and what is installed ahead of us. URA has launched 5,050 private residential units to be tendered out in 2H2024. This included 10 sites under the confirmed list. I will share my opinions on the GLS sites, what can we improved in our land sales programs, and also from an urban planning approach.

    Reason for lesser EC sites are that Government should focus and spend taxpayers' money for basic housing and living, not to make people wealthy. Those who are wealthy can buy private or resale. Focus on more HDB sites is preferred. Besides that, with rising EC prices, if you can downpay for EC under MSR, you can definitely afford downpayment for condo.

      I got a feeling today BTO flats will make even more than EC since bto are heavily subsidy...in terms of the smaller outlay and risk. U get far superior return.

      @@alanweeproperty True, but whether you make or not is your own intention, the govt intention is for everyone to afford affordable shelter. There are clawbacks in place and 10yr MOPs to deter, hence current HDBs are gg up but the future BTOs wont be able to have that lottery effect as current BTO units

    You are right, the chencharu township I think part of it was a recreation place called Oto or something. I brought my kids for some bouncing activity and prawning. It has closed down, should be part of this chencharu. Very sad.

      ya...true. before Oto. there was another one. even more rustic. can hear the mrt train noise. i also went there prawn fishing n its so relaxing n i think got a beer garden n a restaurant there. maybe its time to head north since most of such are demolish one after another. maybe SG is a place to make money. Go north is to spend money. so sad...

    Before gahmen release more EC sites, maybe they should raise the income ceiling for EC! Now EC so expensive, cannot take max loan liao!

    Do SERS still need kana resident complain like the AMK site. Do for what. Government say Liao: we have enough land to house everyone buy we don’t have babies to stay in the house 😂
