Anyway, this is SO GOOD!! I'm astounded by the amount of details in this build, esp the cultural aspects and those little local things like buckets in the bathroom? SO relatable.
I'm Javanese and I knew there were rules to *anything* traditional here, but I didn't know the specifics, so thanks for sharing! It's very educational!

This is so beautiful! I love it when simmers build something from their own cultures and talk about them! Like you said, it is a really fun way to learn about the rest of the world. 🌏
And I get that it's probably very frustrating not having the tools and objects in the game that you would need to accurately represent your architecture and culture, as the game is still heavily US-focused. At least a few European architectural styles can now be imitated in the game, even if we're still missing HEAPS of facade details and building materials (or swatches ...), but as soon as you have a culture that does roofs, ceilings, stairs, doors, or windows fundamentally different, it can become frustrating trying to work around the restrictions in build mode. I mean, sometimes it's a fun challenge, but other times not so much. 😅😂
And then there's still the problem that your representative building is probably going to stick out like a sore thumb in the differently-themed neighbourhoods ... 🙄 I don't really get why they didn't just include a neighbourhood you could design yourself, even the background and surrounding greenery. (It's probably to do with performance issues, but still.)
I loved learning about your culture! It was very interesting and nice to listen to. I’d love to see you do more traditional houses with the history behind it!

So much story behind this build! 😍 As far as I know Indonesia is the biggest archipelago (I only know this because teachers always told us how much more islands Indonesia has than the Philippines 😅)

I have an Indonesian friend outside of the sims and they told me NOT to go to Bali either 😂 It's like Boracay Island here too. Beautiful, but overrated. I enjoyed learning about your culture, Elfa! Hope you can make more builds like this. Someday I will visit Indomesia. You guys are lucky to have most of your culture intact and it's always fascinated me! We're trying to preserve what's left of our indigenous homes here 🥲

Philippines is sad, they do not preserved their local architecture, most of them are spanish and Chinese architecture. no local architecture, or local style roof. except in southernmost bangsamoro region which similar to sabah and brunei architecture.
