Dude -I’ve always known that you can make many of the changes by changing just one note and I know you can use 7b9 to spice up the Dom7 but for some reason I never really played a simple 4 note arpeggio and just raised the root to the b9 to make that change -so simple ,so awesome !!! Thanks for posting this
I wrote a blues thing using dominant 7th chords with the root intervals of a 4-note diminished scale. So it’s a 16 bar blues E7. C#7. E7. G7. E7. Bb7 G7. E7. But the diminished scale is F D G# B. I played it for a month straight and never hit bottom. My brain was permanently altered by this. Try it.

This is great! More Jazz-Blues videos would be massively appreciated (as well as more on Jazz-Soloing as you've been doing!)
I'm glad you dig these kind of lessons! :)
Thanks for a truly pleasurable and smart approach to diminish scale usage 😊.

Gracias! 🙏
But there's not the b13 in the diminished scale, although it is implied when you play the b9 of Bb7 (?)
