Even Liko and Roy are great protags. They have proved it in 48 episodes only and we have more episodes to continue with their journeys.
Once, they all will give it a try. They will love them as well. And then, the fanbase will feel it great to have them.

Agree with you.. People are lacking the maturity to cope with Ash's absence. I have watched each and every episode of Horizons till date in Japanese and it is a good and refreshing show. People are underestimating it and the new protags for no logical reason. All the 48 episodes that have been released are all cool and none feel like a filler. The bonding with Pokemon thing is more prominent.
