- Scott Toy Guru Neitlich from Spector Creative provides director's commentary for one of the more "controversial" variants from the MOTUC line, New Adventures She Ra! Combining the Princess of Power and New Adventures of He-Man lines with one figure.
My absolute favorite She-Ra design - I love the Jack Kirby techno-valkyrie look! In fact, IIRC, even the people who complained about everything had only positive things to say!
I remember a lot of support for this, too, but there were still a lot of Vintage Only Then Out whiners complaining about "wasted slots."
I think this is an awesome look for the Princess of Power! On its first release 10-year-old me didn't like the New Adventures but now (at 40-something!) it holds a little nostalgic place in my heart.
One of my favorite Shera figures of all time. Great design work.

I really love her NA look. Bu I am also one of th people that liked New Adventures, so I may be biased.

I'm guessing the first She-Ra figure also helped you guys from foreseeing that she may later need Swiftwind, and require to be able to sit on Swiftwind -- and probably on a few throne chairs, as well. So any later She-Ra figures was able to solved all those problems.
THere was already a video about the earlier She-Ra figures. And the update on the skirt when Bubble Power variant was made.
Has there ever been talk of what happened on Eternia after He-Man & Skeletor went to future Primas? I know the Sorceress said Eternia would be ok without Skeletor but there would have been other threats right? Wouldn't Grayskull still need a defender?
Not sorry to say that the figure did not come out great. To me, it surpassed every expectation I had, it was beoynd great, one of my top 5-10 figures in the entire line. And that says something regarding that hte line conisted of over 200 figures. So well done :)

Which version of She-Ra is in the 2nd ultimate battleground group shot? I always thought it was Snake Armor She-Ra, but now you mentioned She-Ra at arms. So which outfit is in that comic double page?
My only question on New Adventures is how did the power sword turn into a light saber looking thing?
If I'm remembering correctly it's a disguise so it won't be recognized. The sword of He has a different look for each wielder. No mode for He-Man so, new look for the sword. Just going by what Scott said. Hope I didn't botch it to bad. Or I'm just way off in this case.

Skeletor with his knockoff Punisher style didn't quite sell as they were hoping it would be like Hordak. :). You missed space before She-Ra not to be confused with the She movies ;)? You must do the titles on Phone as its like really strangely punctuated and worded :). There a few cool figures in these random obscure shows or lines. I didn't even realize a lot of this happening at the times as MOTU declined when original show came out. If not for that then maybe it would have did a bit better longer for the toylines. I was never really good in the Space even the SSI TSR games I could not win Buck Rogers or Flash Gordon what they had heh. Yet all the Dungeons Dragons stuff even the Krynn I would often easily Win. I'm more into Fantasy not SyFy :).
