    apparently it does have a hydraulic steering component but its not used in normal operation only for backing into docks

    There are benefits on Trackaxle trailers - like less rubber going down onto the road, less power required to get the truck through turns and therefore less emissions, tyre scrub is negligible....

    That'd be interesting to drive, but I wonder if it would last as long as GMs 4 wheel steer they HAD on the Silverados.. what six months. I could see this being a benefit tho

    Super Bs are easy as to back up. But I prefer to stick with a normal size B Double tho

    looks like a lot of technical... and a lot of technical means a lot of parts that can get damage in the normal workin days.. idea is great, but wouldnt trust yet...

    to make the longer super-b meet meet swept path limits. standard axle = no permission to run in some cases.

    it's a bit fastforward. look at the people walking around. their moving a bit too fast. at 0:13 there's a guy at top right which lifts his legs left right. look how fast he is. lol. so this thing is actually incredibly slow. using a fort lift is faster and easyer to position. a 1.5 tonn fork lift can easely handle a 20 to ntrailer, to back it up even on a slight slope. done that with 20 ton of carrots at unloading bay. so a bigger forklift truck could handle 2 X20 ton way way faster than this.

  • @Choice777
    @Choice777 Před 15 lety

    it's not normal speed. it's a bit fastforward.

    I wonder how to unload the cargo in the middle container while its door is jammed by the second container ? are those only for empty containers trucking only?

      There is probably a fifth wheel, and then My guess is that the tandems slide.

      late reply, but usually shipping containers wouldn't be opened and loaded/offloaded while on a truck like this. This would be to go from yard to yard.

  • @Xantec
    @Xantec Před 14 lety

    its a yard shunter, not a highway rig,
