Gets tripped up by Akers and gives up a sack, pitches a shutout the rest of the game against his former team who told him he was too old at 36 and wins a SB at age 40 against them. Unbelievable
This dude is my new favorite player. He plays O-line like a scrapper, he’s got the rattiest uniform on the field , he’s wearing shoulder pads from junior high, and when he pulls of his helmet, you say, “Holy cow, they let grandpa play football?”
He’s fun to watch. Glad you did an isolation vid on him.
Why would you have a new favorite player be someone who is retiring? Lol

Geez, lol, you’re right. I guess my favoritism will be short lived.
It’s so cool that this guy got so much attention - at least as much attention as you can get in the O-line. He’s been a hella good player for a long time with such a tough, gritty, relentless style. And those crazy small shoulder pads - where’d he get those? I’d like to see Jackson do a few breakdown sessions on offensive line play and how it’s changed - they don’t even need shoulder pads anymore?
Whitworth is a treasure. Hope he does podcast or media after his playing days because he’s a great human and an awesome resource.
Andrew has been an amazing asset to the whole Rams team. If he does retire, he will be sorely missed.
noteboom will be a good replacement, he proved to be pretty good lately
His biggest issue seems to be the damage taken by his body, he seems to still love the game.
Wouldn't he make a great coach?
if noteboom can stay healthy , he'll be a worthy replacement.
I can't imagine him playing any longer. Dude is 41.
That superbowl win cemented his placement in the hall.
Agreed. Like Jackie Slater doin a job on Reggie White n d 89 playoffs
Whitworth was matched up with Robinson and he won that match up on the biggest stage. This was likely Whitworth’s last game in the NFL and it caps off a great 16 year career playing for a great team with a great team culture where he was an incredible leader. I am sure that the 2021 Walter Payton Man of the Year will continue to be a great leader in the community.
Akers clearly though he was an option for Stafford and I’m sure when he saw the film thought maybe he should have helped Whitworth, but that’s real time football.
It's crazy seeing a guy as big as Whit movie so fast for a guy his size! This was like the ultimate revenge game for him since he wanted to stay in Cincy but they chose to move on. I say he's a Hall of Famer.
He will be in the hall
He was also great as my high school history teacher back in the mid 90's.
Thank you big whit. Ram forever 🟡🔵🐏

I LIKE YOU
Could you do a video on cooper kupps blocking?
One of the best and best known since Joe Thomas retired.
Without guys like A.W. Great Q.B's and R.B's just cannot succeed without men like these.
I remember meeting Andrew at a Bengals camp when I was a freshman in high school. The guy was the biggest dude I've ever seen. I swear I thought he was wearing shoulder pads until he came closer to me. His shoulders were so huge they looked like shoulder pads.
I’m not surprised that Andrew Whitworth played a great game in the Super Bowl. Have you see the mic’d up video of Whitworth during that game and after the game? It showed what an incredible team culture the Rams have and how Whitworth was a leader of that team. It also showed the selfishness and dedication that every player on that squad had to each other.
Brian Allen under center is the guy who really stands out on that O line. he's a stud
As a Bengals fan: PAIN.
There's offensive line with less accolades, less time playing better yet a superbowl win that are hall of famers so he definitely is a hall of famer
If he retires there may have 4 1st ballot hall of famers
Look ma grandpa has a super bowl ring!!
Whitt is surefire first ballot hall of famer when he retires!
Whitworth's in (the Hall of Fame) easily. His individual accolades put him in on its own merit but a Super Bowl Championship puts a punctuation on it. Where did he finish in the final tackle rankings year in and year out?... my guess is he was always top-10 and in most cases was probably top 3-5. Yeah, he's in... slam dunk.
This year he had the 4th highest PFF tackle grade
0 sacks allowed and 0 penalties committed in 15 playoff games
Play where cam tackled Whitt… he wasn’t looking until it was too late.
...this is the only way o-linemen get some mentions. wr, rbs, qbs and any one on defense gets their name called but o-line just do their job unless of course the ref's decide to throw a flag.
First ballot HOF no question
Rams need to Draft Joe Alt
NOTEBOOM WILL REPLACE HIM AND DO JUST FINE
If only the Bengals could have in someway had a talent like Whitworth on their team.
He is a HOFer...usually you need 6-7 pro bowls, unless you are terrell davis, lol....which Whitworth is is far superior in longevity.
Go Rams
Andrew Whitworth will retire at age 40 after winning Super Bowl LVI with the Rams.
Whit is def a hall of farmer..I’m bias tho don’t take my opinion lol
In looking at your videos since the SB, you have sung the praises of Whitworth, Stafford, Cupp, Donald, Weddle, Miller, Hopkins, Ramsey, McVay, OBJ, etc. Little to no compliments for the Bengals. I guess that is why they lost by 30.
He is analyzing the individual ram player performances, not bengal performances
Why would he praise jamar chase in a video about obj for example
If he goes to the HOF, then it will eventually become to crowded.
Personally I don't have a problem with there being a lot of Olineman in the HoF. It's really the only way people remember lineman, they have no stats in the box score. Whit was top 5 at his position pretty much every year of his career.
1st play sack smh who edits these videos???
49ers exposed the Rams run game... its a huge weakness. So..... McVay will Pull some more rabbits out of the hat in the off-season and hopefully, with a large returning cast, we will see next level NFL footballin....on steroids
You should make videos on why you believe the yearly awards went to the winners by that I mean why you believe such and such deserved MVP why you believe such and such deserved rookie of the year why you believed etc just an idea not telling you what to do
This over simple "Go all in" to get a Super Bowl ring is not very useful. Many teams go 'all in'. Only on wins. Burrow was only 1 yard from tying the game. Not very convincing.
1:20 Akers did not cause that sack. Put it in slow mo... You can see Whitworth was already getting beaten
Dude, Akers knocked Whitworth flat at 1:16. Very strange mental mistake by Akers.
" Hall of very good"
