- Collingwood has produced another trademark final-quarter charge to claim a thrilling one-point victory over Adelaide on Sunday to move into outright top spot on the ladder.
Adelaide's desperate attempt to race the ball up the other end from the kick-in was in vain as Pies skipper Darcy Moore fittingly intercepted to clinch an epic 8.11 (59) to 7.16 (58) victory.

It’d be so fun to be at Collingwood. That was finals-like. When they pull the switch, it’s so riveting. So much against them - the weather, scoreboard, umpires, Adelaide home crowd, 5 day turnaround, Adelaide dominance, but they never gave up. It’s all in, play for each other. Darcy Moore’s leadership & skilful intercept marking and Nathan Murphy putting his body on the line in every contest were outstanding. Hoskin-Elliott was excellent too. His chase down tackle at 4:33 and involvement the final 2 minutes sums up Pies attitude. Adelaide were very good but 7.16 goal kicking kept Pies in the game. There was a moment after the match when Craig MacRae was by himself at screamed F**** Yeah into the pitch. Epic win 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Adelaide lost that game, Collingwood didn't win it. Inaccurate goal kicking, in an otherwise 3 quarter dominance over the so called "Premiership Favorite"

@@Tantoblade1pd Collingwood won. Pies admitted they didn't play their best and that Adelaide were dominant. Collingwood kicked better than Adelaide and played four quarters. Adelaide were in front 99% of the game, but Pies never gave up and clawed their way back against the odds.

Disappointing closure for the Crows... We gave it away with some really poor decisions all over the field and shocking inaccuracy inside 50... We didn't deserve to win... Simple as that.

How the bloody hell do Collingwood keep winning these close ones? I am sensing a repeat of 2022 and Adelaide should have won. But they didn't, because they kicked very inaccurately, particularly in the first half. I mentioned this in the Richmond v Gold Coast match, but poor kicking is poor football. This could be a brutal downfall for the Crows this season should they continue to throw away matches like this. Steele Sidebottom broke Melbourne hearts with his match-winning spoil thirteen years ago (Round 2, 2010) and he did it again to Adelaide hearts with a late point.
Also, wasn't Jason Dunstall at the Adelaide Oval for this match? Yet, he was hosting Bounce just hours later. 🤔

i dont think the crows will have a brutal downfall we were gonna lose anther game at some point we weren't gonna win 20 games in a row this is a important lost for the crows to see how they rebound off it if they really wanna make the 8 they have to not let the game get to there head for next weeks game

What we are talking about is this game against the *Adelaide Crows.* We had Murphy get punched in the head, and the delusional umpires called play on even when Murphy was on the floor seriously hurt. Then we had Ash Johnson get tackled high in front of the goals, and of course the umpires didn’t call that.

That's a really stupid statement considering the players from all teams come from all over the country... BUT in the last 10 years of State-of-Origin football SA was definitely the best... Especially since the old VFL already had full-time football players while SA players still had regular jobs to go to on Mondays.

I've been a Crows fan since day one... And I'm not buying that for a second. I watched every second of this match and I've gotta give credit where it's due... Crows were paid more frees than we deserved and, as much as I cringe in saying so, Collingwood got the raw end of the stick... Blaming the umpires is a weak argument. The Crows couldn't have tried harder to LOSE if they wanted to... Our poor efficiency inside 50 in the first half set the tone for the rest of the match... Piss poor performance really... Crows need to learn to not just win but kill an opponent off so they're demoralised and don't have the WILL to fight back. We had that opportunity but we pissed it away with some really poor decisions. Collingwood wanted to win more... End of story.
