Hey to everyone!!
We are two young adults, Despina 24 and Deivids 25 renovating an old farm house from 1817 in Latvia.
Everything in and out of our house has been done by ourselves with no hired help.
DIY is going to apply to nearly everything in our house. Our budget is tight and that has made us appreciate every “ugly” part of this house and turn it into something new and beautiful.
We give new life to things that others would throw away!
In this journey we are not alone! We are starting up our little Farmily:
7 Goats & 2 Bucks
3 Sheep
4 chickens & 3 Chicks
1 Rooster
and 3 Geese
Oh yeah and our cat Ivi & Dog Keita
Despite our daily problems we are two young people full of joy and happiness, ready to start a new crazy chapter in our life. It wouldn’t be fair to keep this fun just for us!
That’s why we want YOU to also be part of our Farmily!!

@konstantinahancock3925 they planted beetroot, but sweet potatoes seem to need another klimate ❤
No wonder you two are so fit and healthy looking! All that bending, picking up and moving the wood, you were constantly doing all the things on my exercise sheet that I need to do to improve my strength and balance. I wish that I could still move and pick things up like that. However, time has seen major changes, so now I must spend some time looking and, well, admiring the way the two of you carry out your essential work together. The mechanisation of some stages of the process is a huge help to you. You must be thankful for the team work that a village of great neighbours and family can bring at high stress and work load times. That looks like a very good harvest this time round, no risk of starving this winter if they store right.

This year in estonia we had so much rain that although we harvested the potatoes in august, there was still so many rotten ones. Usually we harvest as the tractor opens up the lines. The tractor opens up some lines, then leaves a space between and opens teh next and so fort. when the first area is picked, after that the tractor opens up a line next to it (not before) so it does not destroy the potates as the potatoe lines are so close togehter.
Now that was a cool video. I’m thinking of all the mashed potatoes with butter on them. 😄🤪🥔🧈🧂

No I forgot to make a playlist. I used this machine all summer long and now it's broken I just abused it slightly. But will be upgrading it soon with a car gearbox and 16hp engine.

The neighbor came with the tractor and his machine , digged, and left . He likes to help, but most people don't like to lend their equipments.

If you needed to could you sell any of the potatoes? Or donate the extra just so they don't rot? You also can pressure can potatoes in glass jars if you have that ability. Too bad you don't have a freeze dryer so you could make freeze dryed mashed potatoes.

That harvest is way more than y’all have ever gotten, I believe. That’s great. You can fix potatoes so many different ways. Des do you like canning potatoes or do you not care for them that way. If you have some really tiny ones they are good to cook in a pot of fresh green beans. Scalloped potatoes with ham and cheese is also very good. So nice of you to make a cake for your neighbor for helping out. You said that you were leaving in 3 days. Just curious, are you going back with your mom and brother.

It's interesting, but I'm having trouble understanding how that machine digs up the earth and yet it doesn't make mashed potatoes out of the crop.
Do you sell them? You certainly won't eat them all.

A lot of hard work produced great results in your potato yield. Your neighbors help with the digger saved some work but it is still nice to see Despina's brother pitch in to help again. your filming is fantastic. Always crisp, clear and in a logical order. Saw the video where you
covered the basement with a cement coating. Once it is made water proof and the ceiling installed it will make a perfect spot to keep your potatoes and other foodstuff . Nice harvest, going mostly self sufficient is a very smart choice for the coming years of failing socialist democratic welfare states and indebted governments.
2032 will be the year governments in the west will collapse and the welfare state including pensions etc. wil go bust, maybe consider taking in your parents before that happens.
