Season 1: Peggy cooked, cleaned and cared about the kids
Season 2-11: Peggy was abducted by aliens, replaced with a replica that didn't cook, clean or care about anything, much less Al or the Kids
Also season 11: That replica went haywire. Hence the 3 part breakup episode

The episode later reveals how sorely Marcy underestimates Al.

@Jeffrey Webster He was fired because he rubbed one of the show’s co-creators the wrong way.
The creator had someone else in mind for the character, but the network pushed for Rich Synder to play the role. The creator resented this, and got rid of him the first chance he could.

Everything g in that judge was true, except the father getting the children of course
Luke had potential to be a great character. The argument was that Luke got in the way of the Al/Steve dynamic, but that was nonsense. Luke should've stayed on for a season and a half, just long enough to be spun-off to his own show.
Too bad the actor left after the first 2 seasons. Later on in the show he would have been a good love interest for Kelly in season 10 or 11

The show could've used more of Luke.
Frank Costanza would not be very happy with Luke for what he did with his wife.
The best part is that Luke doesn’t even fight Al on staying with him. It really just didn’t occur to him to invite Al because Luke’s just a lousy friend.😂
