Well some skills come from maturity and wisdom though I would not assume his younger years were his best years.
The dedication from Reeves to weapons tactics training is what made this series. That and the soundtracks.
His dedication to training goes way back to the Matrix when he trained in Kung fu
The writing is also pretty good, they leave a lot of mystery and don’t explain the past fully, when you see the world there’s so much lore and detail out there that it puts a unique spin to the blockbuster action genre.
The action is great but the world building is the best part of John Wick.
Teren tactical or however you spell that made his training to that level
He's always like that I watched the interviews from the second matrix and he he's very dedicated to his craft was soaking in tubs of ice even then just numbing his body after training all day.
This went from potential derivative disaster before release to surprise success upon release to series of action masterpieces.
If I had to guess, this became what it was because everyone was doing their job. Reeves, the other actors, the director, cinematographer, the editors, everyone cared.
When I first saw the trailer I wasn't rly impressed and didn't watch it in theaters, but then I rented it and was blown away how amazing it was and became an instant fan and wished I would have seen it in theaters

He has so much personal grief he became a great method actor.

I think the part that hit me the hardest in these movies was when Vigo told his son "John Wick will come for you... and you will do nothing... Because you can do nothing." To have a father like that..going through your entire life being untouchable.. having that power in your corner.. just to have your father look you in the eyes and say "I cannot stop him... you're a dead man" would be earth shattering.

5:14 Keanu Reeves training was impeccable his tactical reload... amazing and in this scene you can see the guy is reaching for his magazine while Keanu still has both hands on his firearm. He’s that much faster that man had his hand on a new magazine And Keanu with both hands on his weapon unloads reaches for a new magazine drops his slide And is able to place a perfect shot before the man even put his magazine in it happened so fast it’s amazing

He's more like a warrior to me. A man with integrity, honor and a code. A man equally respected, feared and reviled. But one who is treated with the level of danger he earned.

Man, this was something more than imagination. This is perfection refined. Please add chapter 4 to it whenever it is released. We all would love to see the saga been completed so mesmerizingly.

His creativity in making ordinary things into a weapon illustrates how effective he is as an assassin. From using a book as a fulcrum to break one's neck, to a lowly pencil in place of a bladed weapon as well as a horse's powerful hind leg kicks.
I love how JW just chucks his weapons AS a weapon when he's out of ammo.
That's why I like the Glock .40. It's great as a weapon even after it's empty.

John Wick don’t shoot one person one or two times but several bullets he spent for kill a single person. Make sure that person is really dead. He also know where to Shoot. 1st one or two round he spent for make damage and then he Shoot few more rounds to make sure that person is really dead.
