I love the trend towards more classic gas tanks. I had a cr250 Elsinore in 1972 which has most beautiful aluminum tank.

This guy clearly wasnt alive when the 1982 CR500 came out. I was and remember having the dirtbike mag with the test. It was a twin rear shock bike because Husky held on to old tech as long as they could for lack of money to update at the time. But the suspension was actually good with the Ohlins shocks and Husky forks. But this bike has nothing in common with the old one. The old bike was a open class 2 stroke motocross racer the new one is not.

I remember the old “hare & hound” scrambles races at in Elsinore, and watching Malcom Smith & Steve McQueen racing in Elsinore, my two favorite tracks were Saddleback & Carlsbad…good times in deed 👍

It is a 701, so it is the 690 single. The platforms has been around forever, so not too many surprises to be expected I‘d assume. And the price should, of course, be very expensive. That is the concept of this special edition after all.
