I sort of got the feeling most of these songs were drawn out...an unfortunate feeling I never got from Tool...weirdly I didn't really feel that way about Invincible or Descending, they were the two saving graces of this album to me. Descending might actually be my new favorite Tool song...although I admit that I do skip that wind at the beginning
But no love for the fact that Adam Jones was performing that beautiful solo over that FRUSTRATING time signature?!

I’m in a Alternative Rock/Metal band called CZYK, we’re just starting out but I’ve been listening to metal for over 10 years and I’d like to think I have some knowledge of music. My channel is me as an artist, I’m letting the viewer come with me on the journey of listening to new music for the first time and giving my thoughts on the overall song, instrumentals and etc. if you don’t think it makes sense then you do you, nobody is stopping you from clicking off the channel and moving on with your day. 🤔 Tool metal? Perhaps.. More Progressive Rock in my humble opinion. Regardless of the genre label, they are the greatest band EVER assembled!
@@jackcramer2692 they have won 3 grammies for best metal preformence. So its quite hard to argue they aren't metal.
