  • GeneratePress makes adding additional code to your WordPress website without the need for additional plugins like Code Snippets - simply by using the Elements function included in GeneratePress Pro (sorry, this isn't in the free version of the theme).
I'll show you how to quickly and easily add code to your header, footer or just about anywhere else on your WordPress website.
This is the perfect way to get started with GeneratePress Theme Customisation while reducing the number of plugins needed.

Cool,. Are there any other tricks in the elements section to adjust the image and font style?

One could argue the best way to add Google Analytics code is not to add it at all… 😉
But yes, this is vastly superior to using a plugin to do the same job.

Thanks Paul, great video as ever. Does this signal the end for Code Snippets and other similar plugins?

      For some use cases, yes.

Chris, love this idea of a new type of theme. As I look around, do you know if this works with Elementor/Elementor Pro? I almost assume I may not need it for this type of theme. I want to explore this theme and get a better idea how it could work for me, with so many websites I have, I am looking for speed, style, and desktop/mobile usage. Any input would be great. Looking forward to more of your vids on this. Thank you for all that you do for the community.

      It does work with Elementor.
But, as you said, you might not need Elementor at all, depending on your use case, once you use GeneratePress elements (especially if you also use GenerateBlocks).
For a few clients websites that were relying entirely on Elementor, I've rebuilt them using GeneratePress elements + GenerateBlocks (I know Spectra is very popular, but I tend to stay away because I find it bloated and slow).
On the pages that really needed something special to stand out (landing pages, etc.), I used Zion Builder (you could also use Elementor, but Zion outputs cleaner code and is faster overall) - but the core of the site is just the theme and elements.
Such an approach gives you a very fast and rather easy-to-use setup. Blocksy is also a great theme with the same option (except they call it “Blocks”, not “Elements”) and I feel like it may be slightly more beginner-friendly, but both are great value.

Yes. If you look at his list of elements, that's what Paul is doing. Go check out GeneratePress documentation (and CZcams channel) for more info and tutorials, it's a great resource.
