I’m no moped expert but last year I was having major tunning issues on a 80cc Eton Beamer build I did (Minarelli horizontal) it ended up being the stage 6 intake causing issues. I tossed the stock intake back on to test it and she was a whole new beast. Not saying this is your issue but it’s definitely a quick and easy test.
Malossi overrange violet spring ( not sure what comes with a minarelli I’m piaggio) with just a stock clutch green Malossi springs 0.5 shim on the outer pulley. Sounds cliché but I’ve tried so many combos Polini etc. same as you but piaggio stage 6 sport pro, you want that squish down to 0.6 Stock ignition with Malossi cdi Phbg 21, Malossi mesh pod filter 50 slide W9 needle 3rd clip 45 Pilot 102 main Absolutely flawless, something you could try if all else fails. ** Definitely try stock clutch and Polini green springs. **Shimming very important as you know
I’d do a compression test after a long pull. If it was CVT causing that much hesitation - there would be major heat build up somewhere and you would see the heat colour easy? Dunno
I've got same issue with my aero 50 two bolt. choke off, it'll be snappy off the line before its fully up to temp and fade when it gets warm, but has fine mid and topend. I've been chasing the prob for months, I dont have tester but I can only conclude the rings are shot. hot compression test is probably the way. Bike specs - stock bore, s23 big mani, s23 pipe, 19mm dellorto, yellow contra, s23 clutch orange springs.
Hey bro i have an 77tpr aerox with an 28mm carb and a c16 with mvt digital direct ignition and its a real different setup in my cvt than you have, and i think when you upgrade to 70cc and higher you would need to stiffer your springs because i use black malossi clutch springs and a red countra spring in mine because i feel like in the video that the clutch springs dont match up with the rpm and the carb that dont give you the amount of fuel and air mix that you need, i think you should try using a carb with bigger intake and in your cvt you could get the red countra and tighten your clutch springs. Im only 16 but i know a lot about minarelli horizontal motors.
You know anything about throttle lag? My aerox has low and mid rpm like 1-2 second throttle lag. I think it may be the stock reeds because they had a small gap. Im going to order some malossi vl12 reeds. What do you think it is?
I just built a RC1 94cc and my take off was worse than yours. I slammed the throttle from a dead stop and it bogged/flat. I tried lowering and increasing the main jet to no avail. Once I lowered the clip (richen the needle) and went up on the pilot jet did that bogging go away. It can get a bit confusing deciding if it is the CVT, timing or fuel since they can produce the same problems. Now I am trying to figure out it is belt/clutch slippage or fuel starvation when I accelerate, I have to let off the throttle and back again for it to clear out.
I have the same problen on my beta (minarelli horizontal) after a while driving it, it is sort of as the scooter is overheating and losing power, but that can't be after 5 minutes of riding.
this has stock reeeds with stage 6 intake. and that plastic piece is a reed stuffer, you don’t want to remove that, helps create velocity into the engine
Bro the lean to the side is part of tuning culture man! lol [atleast it was here] my maxi has crazy lean on the side stand everyone always thinks its gonna tip over 🤪
i got your same engine but on a scarabeo chassis with a top tpr 70cc single ring AC and its good when cold but after it heats up its ass only from stopped then it clears and hauls ass
9:05 there is some lube on the pulley. did you check your clutch bell? i had a bad sealing and the lube went over the edge of the pulley into the clutch Bell.
I overlooked reeds for a very long time But when i switched to a beter set i cant go back to orginal, it does Such a difference. And if they do get a slight gap they fuck the motor, it is going to behave horribly. Some of mine was so badly damaged it didn’t even start or want to move forward.
i have a yamaha aerox also with a mineralli horizontal engine. the yasuni pipe has a restrictor in the muffler. if you have it still in, that could be one of the issues. i cut mine out and the bike ran way better.
Definitely no expert here but years ago whatever we did to our 2 stroke yams we always stuck with standard reeds. Everytime we had aftermarket reeds it was like massive turbo lagg.
i think your tank isnt delivering enough fuel try changing the tank valve i had a carb that was starving fuel at low n high rpm and it acted like your f12 but if it acted up at low rp, it was when i was already rolling and tried to accelerate again
i had that same issue when i changed from airsal 70cc to stage6 mk2. i just changed lighter rollers. btw how do you put a thermometer on aircooled cylinder?
I think you need to try and make the straight intake on this bike, i have a horizontal minarelli aswell with stock front side intake, but alot of people have the straight intake and have no issues. The downside on the straight intake is that you need to make a diy subframe or find a stage 6 subframe.
honestly the cylinder on the f12 is just weak. either stage 6 racing or malossie mhr. and the weak startup can maybe be fixed with an innerroter ignition
i don’t think it’s lean, i up jets , had a bigger carb, had it running rich did same thing, then changed jets to way smaller . same thing. changed carb to smaller, ran better but still same issue, im either saying it’s the fuel petcock or reeds at this point
@@MOPBOYZ when you cracked the throttle open when it was warm it bogged badly indicating a lean condition or an ignition problem. i would check the exhaust for no leaks near the cylinder flange and then i would swap the cdi and the coil for a tested working one and see how it goes

OG mop boys love the drier and washer noise, its a staple of the chanel
It the clutch and rollers and clean the jet out
I have a very similar built f12, I ended up using the stage 6 over range set up. Something like that might help your cvt issue.
How is it performing?
have the same set up having the same issue but as soon as you said Reed i had to check mines and yup no good it's the stage 6 one to
That's frustrating as hell. Good luck man.
you need lighter rollers and stronger contra spring, had the same problem on my aerox

same as you but piaggio stage 6 sport pro, you want that squish down to 0.6
Stock ignition with Malossi cdi
Phbg 21,
Malossi mesh pod filter
50 slide
W9 needle 3rd clip
45 Pilot
102 main
Absolutely flawless, something you could try if all else fails.
** Definitely try stock clutch and Polini green springs.
**Shimming very important as you know
Tighten the clutch springs or mby lighten the rollers. That should help

try to take out the plastic insert of the top performance intake had the same problem on my aerox that fixed it

You should try that dellorto 21 you have, on the f12 see how it likes it
24 or bigger carbs are better for those powerful 70cc builds. i personally use a 24mm on minarelli
tuff one brotha good luck

Cool vid Hope the f12 problem is fixt soon
i have a yamaha aerox also with a mineralli horizontal engine. the yasuni pipe has a restrictor in the muffler. if you have it still in, that could be one of the issues. i cut mine out and the bike ran way better.
i always take them out before installing the exhaust !
Definitely no expert here but years ago whatever we did to our 2 stroke yams we always stuck with standard reeds. Everytime we had aftermarket reeds it was like massive turbo lagg.
if i had that scooter i would try an athena racing cylinder kit with a roost exhaust, that would fly
Same issue on my sr, dunno what to do
I have an f10 (has the horizontal Minarelli) i had the same problem i changed the exhaust and i ran fine
try a 24cp carb... i use it on my 70cc minarelli its perfect
try some other roller and a new belt like a malossi. In my opinion your exhaust is also to big and it can play a part in it too
Thats clutch warmup it expands and bites earlier, you need to use harder clutch springs to skip the low rpm low power range
Also it might be that the belt is too thicc and you need to space it out with spacers in the cvt.
i think your tank isnt delivering enough fuel try changing the tank valve i had a carb that was starving fuel at low n high rpm and it acted like your f12 but if it acted up at low rp, it was when i was already rolling and tried to accelerate again
fuel petcock or reeds are my only options at this point !
i know your problem and its your ignition you need a DD ignition with a c16 a stock will always bog on you i had the same problem
I’d try a pink contra spring
i had that same issue when i changed from airsal 70cc to stage6 mk2. i just changed lighter rollers. btw how do you put a thermometer on aircooled cylinder?
rollers, look how high the belt travel on the variator, make a draw with a pen and change rollers and see
4:05 will you sell it ?
Where did you get the red case bolts
Could be you need to shim the variator with washers. To get the belt higher up the poulies for better take of.
belt fitment is perfect on it already , always shim the variator
is it not ilegal to make mopeds faster than they are supposed to do in usa?

i’ve thought about the straight intake too but i think the s6 subframe only fits aerox not f12
@@MOPBOYZ There's an italian shop called FF Motori making subframes
Have you ever tried swapping the side jet, had the same problem on my zuma/booster
love it
i have been tuning scooters for years now i think you need an overrange kit with that highreving cylinder and pipe
Nah i have a similar setup and i just needed to tighten clutch springs and lighten rollers
You should get a Gilera Runner
Ye
Try a white contra and lighter rollers :)
Try a sunworld racing 21mm pwk . They work great
Try an inner rotor ignition.
Reeds sound right. More air ? P.S. GOT ME A NEW BIKE COMING. OLD MAN MOP /ON 🔥 PEACE
Are you stil Selling some of your scooters/mopeds?
How can I get this schooter am in Uganda
Why dont you have any water cooled moped
i do , watch the rc one gp1 build vids
What spark plug are you running?
honestly the cylinder on the f12 is just weak. either stage 6 racing or malossie mhr. and the weak startup can maybe be fixed with an innerroter ignition
it’s a brand new s6 racing cyl, compression and air test is perfect on it
In ur engine build video u put on s6 sport pro if I'm not wrong? So if it's the sport pro u should change to racing or mhr
I wouldnt go any higher than 24mm carb on mopeds, any bigger just makes it incredibly hard to tune.
I run 30mm pwk on mine.
Its prob the mk2 intake it was dog shit on my aerox worked but low end didnt have any umf to it
Did you ever get the two-seat/handle bodywork?
Buy 250mm oversize disk front for f12
why haha
Get a pgo comet its a wellie beast
Can anyone tell me what is the best tuneable 125 2 stroke scooter??????
Piaggio skipper/hexagon motors but theyre from the EU
how many revolutions does the engine turn?
Try checking the reeds
Try another brand of belt, athena or malossi .another thing is the reed valves
check intake and reed valves.
Would you ever do a Aerox build?
if i ever come across one in america , but way too expensive to import
Smart carbs are great till there’re not
My pgo go,s 62 mph with the original gearing 😅
what is the whole setup at the moment?
where is the fast throttle from?
link in description!
do u know what kinda ignition and clutch you ll put on the puch
hammer clutch with malossi springs, stock ignition for now
Time for selettra 😮
what front forks ya have on there?
stock
👍👍👍👍👍
Put a domino switch in the gap
Sounds like a cvt issue
No filter,fatalities еngine
if you end up wanting to sell that smart carb, let me know :D
its your ignition system or you are too lean, it isn't cvt
i don’t think it’s lean, i up jets , had a bigger carb, had it running rich did same thing, then changed jets to way smaller . same thing. changed carb to smaller, ran better but still same issue, im either saying it’s the fuel petcock or reeds at this point
