this is the price of failure, if Arab spring had succeeded then there would have been democracy in middle east. It failed due to West's and monarchs' greed and somewhat also due to people and their lack of vision.

Look at Singapore, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Brunei, etc. They are all rich and prosperous.
Even China and Russian are Powerful countries that wield a lot of influence in the global stage.
