chuck is a karate black belt. But, he used kickboxing in his movies. The only time I see he used karate is when he fought bruce lee in the movie. In tv shows or movies, you see a lot of these kicking and punching. And, you got van damme. When Seagal came in, his aikido style doesn't use all that punching and kicking but everyone was still 'entertained'. Nowadays, everyone is into MMA and UFC and, finally incorporate into movies and Tv shows. See, how all these fight scenes evolved throughout the years?
This was my favorite episode. Walker infiltrates an illegal Mexican labor camp as “Gomez from Guadalajara”, where he proceeds to take down the whole operation by earning the trust of the other inmates, and getting them all to turn on their bosses. Cool stuff.
