This wonderful man is the nephew of my paternal grandmother, Carmella Langella, whom I unfortunately could not know, but when I hear it I can imagine it ... Genius!
I got two videos about Frank in Masters of the Universe on my channel. 1) Which I impersonated him as Skeletor and 2) Updating the after credit scene "I'll Be Back!"
Mr. Langella you have aged so graciously and you are still amazing handsome. Your insight on acting and your realistic view of all the celebrities you met is incredible. I applaud you... talent is sexy. I loved Robot and Frank.
Thanks for your wonderful support and encouragement towards me I really appreciate it feel free to drop a massage on my email I will be glad to receive you ❤️ franklangella244@gmail.com
Insightful and brilliant! He was a top Dracula, as good as Lee but different of course, younger back then with more good looks and sex appeal no doubt to women. Brilliant because like the best, he watches, analyses and thinks and then can be so many things and make it look so natural, so real.
Langella never mentions it but I thought he was hilarious as Bob Alexander in Dave. Masterfully understated and my favorite role of everything he's done, but then I love comedy. He was diabolically delicious. He should have done more comic parts, he was terrific in that role.
A phenomenal actor Mr. Langella is. My personal favourite is his role in Eddie. But otherwise, there is not a single role he has ever had that was bad. He owns his roles 👍
I find it depressing that none of the comments discuss the interview, other than a couple which mention it as insightful. I was interested in his comments about how stars and celebrities look alike and are like rubber stamps, rather than individuals. I find it fascinating how divided mainstream and indie cinema are, but with streaming services it seems to me this has resulted in the demand for more actors. The way he talked about how rage is easily accessible, and how a lot of movie stars play different versions of themselves was interesting hearing from a veteran of film and stage. I appreciate how he talks about wanting to be known for more than his sexuality. And how that can be used like a drug by so many. That there's so much more to life. Langella comes across as having a deep inner life of contemplation. I wish the interviewer had asked him more about how Eastern thought has influenced him in acting and life.
He said that he took it back when he mentioned God. You should never be afraid to mention God or say the word God. Other than that this was a great interview.
I love his philosophy on method acting and how time has debunked it as self-indulgent bullshit. He cuts to the core and makes no bones about it. I remember an interview with him where he said: "Method actor? Me? No. If you walk away with one thing from this interview it is simply this - method acting is complete bullshit. I resent method actors, fuck 'em. I one time told a very famous 'method' actor that he was an over-paid pretender, just like all the rest of us, albeit a better pretender. He never spoke to me again. Not that I mind, he wasn't worth the piss." I'm paraphrasing but that's the jest. LOL
The rather weasely interviewer is consistently plumbing for sordid gossip and nastiness about Langella's acquaintances and the women in his life, which is really unattractive. Langella does a masterful job of resisting all the fishing and refusing to take the bait, in most cases, which is gentlemanly, rare and really nice to see.
Fabulous interview. I just adore Frank Langella. Fascinating, intelligent and insightful.
What a beautiful and talented man.

A great interview with a great actor. His honesty is both refreshing and very moving.
He was mind blowing as Skeletor in 1987. Completely commanding.
A most generous genius.
Always a pleasure to see Frank.
I have admired and adored Mr Langella for years. I still love him to this day

Such a talent. He should teach acting in the highest level of education.
I LOVE him.
Captivating,

He gave a brilliant performance as Skeletor and he should had got a Oscar nomination.

I like Mr. Langella and his work but he seems to be carrying a good deal of "heaviness" that I wish he would jettison.
