  • Ahu ( Morinda citrifolia) is known as Indian mulberry, beach mulberry cheese fruit etc. This plant belongs to the coffee family. Its native land is Southeast Asia. It is widespread in countries such as the Indian subcontinent, Pacific islands, Polynesian islands, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. In South Asian countries, different parts of this ahu plant are used for various superstitions and religious practices.
    Morinda citrifolia is a tree that grows in Sri Lanka, India, Malaya, Shantikara Islands and Northern Australia. The shoots are smooth, the branches are small. The leaves are ovate, thick, the narratia of the leaves is very obvious. The flower is white, tubular, the length of the flower is only a trench. The fruit is an oval fruit. It is about a trench long, fleshy, this plant is a garden Morinda tunctoria species in the southwestern part of Sri Lanka and grows in the dry areas of Jaffna, Trincomalee and Anuradhapura. Ahu Devargaya belongs to the genus Ahu Rubiace, which produces red dye from the root bark.
