- In 'Cadeaux at the Chateau', all of the inhabitants of the Chateau de Lalande gather together to open beautiful gifts that people have sent from all over the world. All of the monetisation from these videos will be donated to a different charity each month. CZcams earnings fluctuate wildly each month, as ad revenue changes throughout the year. Here are the charities that we've donated to so far:

I used to show the gifts as part of ' @The Chateau Diaries ' episodes, but you're all so very generous that we have many gifts, and if we spent the episodes opening them, we wouldn't be able to show you other aspects of chateau life! So, for those of you who enjoy watching presents being opened, and as a way to thank those of you who were kind enough to send them, I've made this new channel. Every week we will film your beautiful gifts whilst enjoying afternoon tea or aperitif together.
It is very important to me that you know that we in no way expect anyone to send us gifts. I would like to go further than that and add that, if doing so will put you in any financial difficulty whatsoever, please, please do not send us anything. Knowing that you join us by watching 'The Chateau Diaries' gives us all an enormous boost. But for those of you who have sent these incredibly thoughtful gifts, I hope that seeing us open them gives you a fraction of the joy that you've given us 💖💖💖

I loved playing with paper dolls when I was a little girl (pre Barbie). It was a way to change her clothes. We had a magazine here in the USA called McCalls. The paper doll was Betsy McCall.

The totally broken mug can be relegated to art supplies for a kids’ art class for mosaics or a mosaic trivet. Art and craft stores have the forms and the plaster.
This one reminded me of when you first started the channel. I think I love this format most (not that everyone else hasn’t been lovely).
It just reminds me of when there were fewer gifts but Stephanie’s opening of each one (I remember a scarf in particular) was so very entertaining!

The beautiful tablecloth remindes me of my mother and the work she did when she embroidered tablecloths especially for springtime and easter dinners. I have learned the technique which are not very difficult.
I watch you and Phillip, Mummy, and Percy and the gaggle of friends that fill your beautiful chateaux and all the days of your lives that we can view. I discovered you during the Covid crisis. I watch all the vlogs and enjoy seeing what everyone is doing. I must say, your tastes are very much like my own. I especially like it when you and Phillip (maybe Kat if she is visiting) do the trip to surrounding beautiful little villages and the Brocantes (sp?). The country-side is much like here in Pennsylvania, but a slight bit different. I also enjoy your trips to Paris and anywhere. I am also a big fan of blue and white china.. Phillip has the touch to create lovely designed table scapes. Well. enough for today. But before I go, I must say please give my best to Percy to get well soon. and I cannot find your online store. Stephanie I know you are planning on cancelling Cadeaux at the end of the year. I can not tell you how disappointing this is. I have only been given 3 gifts in my life and I can not express how fun it is to see you open gifts from complete strangers and to see your joy, and I also can not express how exciting it is see so many wonderful creative and beautiful hand made and designed gifts, and then those amazing gifts of elegance and beauty.
Oh Stephanie--I, too, wish the Cadeaux at the Chateau would continue...I love that revenue is shared with many worthy charities that are close to the hearts of the LaLanders. Perhaps much of the abundance of gifts could be shared with those LaLanders who have branched out to start channels of their own...?

I think at this point we need to send Phillip a new kintsugi repair kit or five. The much easier (& less hazardous cousin of traditional kintsugi), still makes broken items beautiful when put back together again.

I am so glad my gifts arrived ok. I think the windmill fell off Philip’s medal. It’s the Eiffel Tower and the windmill to represent your two homes Philip. The moth bags can be hung from coat hangers using the little loops. I purchased the bracelet for Stephanie but made everything else. ❤

Don't feel silly getting excited over the key and the lock working. I would be, and am on this side of the screen, excited too! I don't know why, but I've always loved keys. When I was a kid I had a key ring full of old od keys. Nothing fancy just old modern keys. It made me feel so powerful. Maybe that's why we like keys, because keys equal power and authority/responsibility. 😂👑👸

yeah Could you have someone embroider around the holes in the cashmere? I use a patchouli wash (Zum) on my wool. Smells great and works.

Absolutely lovely each and every time! When you do travel to Japan try and purchase a Japan Rail Pass before you leave. You can purchase different time periods of travel but it means that you can travel on any JR trains , including the Shinkansen(bullet train) whenever you desire to travel. No distance restrictions. Check it out!! Just make the most of your time there from north to south and all in between. If you time it correctly, one could see the cherry blossoms in southern Japan and maybe still the snow in the very north!

It was a delightful afternoon -- I love the paper dolls -- Barbie has filled that niche for little girls for many years. For me, nothing could beat an afternoon cutting out those clothes, deciding how your paper dolls would spend the evening and what they would wear. How nice that you have several sheets so you can keep one but play with the others!
The dresses need "tabs" to fold over the doll, yes?
