HABIT is so, so incredibly entertaining, that it's upsetting. I have SO much fun watching him on screen and listening to him ramble, I find myself thinking "oh god he's my favorite character," and then the EMH crew does something to remind us of how indescribably monstrous and evil he is. And it's not a "crazy, wacky, random" kind of evil. It's knowing, it's intelligent, it's INTENTIONAL and METHODICAL evil. And it just gives me this sick feeling. It's incredible characterization and storytelling, and I cannot applaud them enough for the way they wrote HABIT.
I think the most obvious way to tell Jeff is the Guardian that you missed is that Jeff is the only one of the group that is literally a legal guardian of someone. Since his parents are both dead hes the legal Guardian of his little brother Alex.

Did you know only one more swear word would have made that movie rated R, because damned is used twice and he also says nice fucking model so Beetlejuice was pretty close to being R
They really toned down Beetlejuice for the movie. In the original concept of Beetlejuice his intentions with Lydia was mass attractions for a 16 year old girl including his want to rape her. You see hints of this in the movie when he says "screw these square I'm going for the girl" and just to get him to shut up Juno had to give him a whorehouse. Random facts I know but ultimately your right.
I figured he was more like Bill Cipher, if anything. Like the tone and movements and stuff is more spontaneous like him.

By the way watching all of this again reminds me of what an excellent actor Evan is! I used to be so entertained by him when he turns into Habit but his acting as himself and showing all the different emotions is so spot-on and believable.
They are all great obviously but he's the one player in this who really gets a chance to show his range whereas by the nature of their characters the other guys don't really have a chance to. But they all pulled off so well that you really do gets sucked into it and feel like you're watching home recording style footage

I love all of the people apart of this series but Jeff is one of the ones at the top of the list. He’s the main brains behind the seven trials and all of the ARG elements(with help from vinney) and he’s the one who made the soundtrack for EMH and added in the songs (vinny and Evan noted they added some songs but it was mostly Jeff) like “who could win a rabbit.” He’s a mastermind fr fr.
Tbh I have no clue which characters are which anymore because ive just been listening to this in the background and now I have no idea who the main characters are supposed to be anymore and I'm too deep to quit now

In some of the Q&A videos they posted they always noted how nothing they filmed was ever really scary to them because “if you know me outside of EMH you’ll know why me playing a villain isn’t scary at all - Evan”

Back when I first watched this however many years ago, I always thought that Vinnie was the Everyman and that *Steph was the Voyer* because she constantly distanced herself in the beginning from everyone and was already distanced bc she ran a blog with interaction that barely seemed caring to her followers. She lost her heart when HABIT took over Evan, and then her blood when her HABIT killed their baby. This just really confuses me lmfao
Don't feel so bad about the original audio, I kinda liked it. A bit of personality. And a lot better than some channels I've seen.

I don't think we should discount Stephanie as one of the roles of Everyman. She is one of the core 4 regardless of the boys. They all came from the same home with the Doctor. I think she plays a higher role than the boys since they are all portrayed as Jokers. I believe the fact that she is portrayed as a Queen she could be Good Deeds or Knowledge. One that followed Everyman to the end. Or the Doctor.
I find it hard to believe Nick still thinks that Vinnie is the Voyer, when Habit flat out told Vinnie he was the guardian. But, then again, the reason that he give for the roles, make way more sense than whatever reasons I could come up with for the other roles. Then again, again, what do I know? I’m some guy coming back to this series years after it ended, making a comment on an explanation compilation video 3/4 of the way through. Anyways, this series is great!
Side Note: I love how Habit called SlenderMan the big stick in the mud.

Can I just say that "The Property" is very impressive film making and might be one of the best examples of it's style done right! I absolutely applaud their work!
Around 20 minutes in I recognized the Muse song "Unnatural Selection." The specific lyrics are "droplets in the ocean" and "i want the truth" that stuck out the most. All during a video where they're figuring out Evan's sigma corruption and what the black box does.

Evans actor is top notch, I love how his physicality changes once Habit posses him and how he takes on an entirely different personality, I actually watched Moving in and :D on Nick's reccomendation and had a huge smile on my face the whole time, Habit is high key my favourite character and I love that he's also played by my favourite actor in the series

Quick question, I noticed that you mentioned sigma radiation and that sigma was of large importance in marble hornets, I also remember from your explanation that you said operator sickness was induced by radiation, does this mean that marble hornets is also linked or is that just a coincidence
The guys said marble hornets was a huge inspo for them so it's likely just a nod to it rather than an actual connection between the two
EMH and Tribe Twelve are connected but I don't think Marble Hornets confirmed if they're connected or not.

ManPersonHumanGiraffe I don’t think that’s the case. If you listen carefully at the end of MOVING IN, you can hear HABIT showing his disgust and even him being intimidated by it. Whoever or whatever it is, HABIT doesn’t know what it is but it does follow him around.
I do find it cool how Evan just straight up a picture from when he was a little kid for part of the plot

super proud of being there when the video premiered, plus i got Vin and Jeff to reply to me so now i’m blessed.
In retrospect, the crossover between the other slenderverse series is one of the best parts for fanservice but also one of the worst parts story-wise and i feel like kinda hurt the narrative some. imo.

I think TT, EMH, and Dark Harvest should be as far as it went. MH is fiction in context of the other series. But then too many people jumped on board and took it too far a little.But you needed Habit to help Firebrand for the TT story. You needed the cult from Dark Harvest for the TT story. Now that I think of it, it's mostly the TT story that relies on others. But it's personally my favourite of the stories.
The fact that you would put SO MUCH WORK into this for us fans just shows how incredible you are. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, SO SO SO VERY MUCH!!!! We love you!!!

This series makes me feel somewhat conflicted; In some aspects it has some really interesting ideas and world building, but on the other it's "Ow the Edge". The whole Sigma radiation and Corenthal thing is fascinating alongside the Bioshock Infinite/ Treyarch Zombies like parallel dimensions and time warps, but The Habit killing a swat team while laughing with some edgy early 2010's song playing in the background just kills the mood for me. I'm drawn in by the Sigma counter, the ashen land 4 and the mystery behind the rake, but The Habit is such an edgelord tryhard character that it pulls me back. It's a shame, I really wanted to like this series more, but every time I have to sit through one of Habit's tweets, blog posts or "possessions" (The whole Fedora wearing thing was just...yikes...) I just cringe so hard, it reminds me of this guy I knew back in high school that would come in dressed in a trench-coat and A7X t-shirts and just write/draw really violent "creepypastas" that were essentially just Habit in a nutshell.

That's my problem with it too, it feels like a total clash to have Slender man; who's while thing is quietly stalking you and making you go crazy over time and putting it next to an edgy rabbit-serial-killer-demon-thing
Yeah i agree as well all the fucked up shit happens for no reason like the rape of that lady or the killing of chowder like really did you have add that in its just being disturbing for the sake of being disturbing its just to edgey and ruins it for me
