- This video was taken on my first day of the 2021-2022 ski season, and shows a ride up silver bullet and ski down Memory Lane via Tranquility
The lift:
Located in front of the Blue Mountain Village, the Silver Bullet chairlift services intermediate and expert terrain. It was manufactured by Leitner-Poma and installed for the 2003-2004 ski season, replacing an older Doppelmayr detachable quad which ran in the same alignment, but terminated a few feet lower than the current lift.
Stats:
Length: 2955 ft
Vertical: 717 ft
Drive: Top
Tension: Dual
Towers: 11
Chairs: 65
Date of recording: 12/20/2021
Wild that this is essentially the longest run in Ontario without going to Ottawa or Thunder Bay. So many skiers, so little vertical...
The longest run at blue is actually the ski there cross which is in the orcha
Not really so little vertical this ain't out West
Are there always lots of bumps at the first slope? 😀
great video! was going to come here for the second time in feb but covid ruined as usual. would love to see other trails here!
Love your videos! You should make a trip out to Hidden Valley and film some of their lifts. They're really cool!
Eventually.
You should come to Calabogie! The terrain is much more interesting then Blue
Isnt that like 5 hrs away from blue mountain?
@@lronSausage yeah and 4 hrs from Toronto
Next season instead of a chair lift it’s gonna be a gondola:)
I just used it its not
Do you have your lift ticket on a certain side On your jacket/pants
Hi sir - great videos. What hill do you recommend for absolute beginner in Ontario Canada ?
Mount Pakenham near Ottawa
@@theroadnottakentravel thank you! Anything you recommend closer to Toronto ? Sir Sam?
@@gustavoc1190 Any hill near Toronto is east and beginner friendly-there are a few, just look up ski hills near toronto
In blue mountain graduate hill is good and there are lots of smaller hills that you just stand on a conveyer to go up.
Check out Glen Eden in Milton!
Just finished my day at Winter Park. What’s the skiing like at BM?
I’ve never been but it can get pretty icy due to high traffic-then again almost every other East coast hill also can. The plus side is Blue has the tallest vertical in Ontario and fast lifts
Here’s what the smaller of the two lifts at Calabogie is like:
