As a Milan fan, It annoys me when people talk about Milan's "european pedigree" or whatever, as if it has any relevance to the current team. The great AC Milan of old is long gone, and we've only recently returned from nearly a decade of not even qualifying for the CL. It doesn't matter how great the team back then was, or how many trophies the club has. AC Milan is the current team, and most of them are very young and have just a few years experience in european competitions, mostly of getting dumped out early. Any club pedigree doesn't help the players perform better in europe than if they were playing for a club without that history.

Over the past decade, English clubs have been knocked out at the group stage on just four occasions: Liverpool in 2014-15, Tottenham in 2016-17, and Manchester United in 2015-16 and 2020-21.
Disappointed obviously but very proud of the team for the hard work to get here. Remembering fhe progress we’ve made in 2 years heading to the championship and now welcoming milan to SJP in the champions league its been fantastic progress and so much more to come from Eddie and the team

That so called “worse Milan team ever” is currently third in Serie A. The same Serie A that is looking better than the Premier League in UEFA competitions two seasons in a row. Face it. Premier League is over hyped. Manchester City is only great because they obviously broke financial fair play. Despite that, they barely beat Inter Milan in the UCL finals last season. It was a terrible evening for both our clubs, we've failed to make the round of 16, and historically we don't play for the UEFA Cup, we leave that to Inter and Juventus, might be a blessing for Newcastle, in our first year back we went out in the group, and went on to win the Scudetto. Maybe they can emulate something similar.

I am an Ac Milan fan and I didn't celebrate that win. As soon as we went 2-1 up, I immediately switched to the Dortmund PSG game and watched the remainder of the game and still kept an eye on the Newcastle Milan game. When the full-time whistle went at Dortmund PSG, I was disappointed and sad.
