Archers of Loaf live @ Neumo's, Seattle WA (March 12, 2023)

Although Archers of Loaf have played a few shows here and there and have put out a handful of new songs over the last decade, in 2023 they finally came out of studio hibernation in a major way with their excellent "Reason in Decline" album. I was lucky enough to catch the band over three nights on this tour at Mississippi Studios in Portland (Feb 10 & 11), and Neumo's in Seattle (Feb 12). I only got to see the Archers once in their 90s heyday and it was fabulous to reconnect with these fine gentlemen nearly three decades later. AoL are a force of nature and have to be seen live. Matt is a bit of a Tasmanian devil on bass and hearing the twisting guitars live is a real treat. This one is a bit of a labor of love, as I was up in the balcony and I had to do a fair bit of zooming and strategic editing to put it together. So the video quality has a bit of a vintagey VCR feel to it. But still, the results are watchable and the sound is decent, if a little dry. There are only minor glitches in a couple of spots.
