    I still believe I'd rather have more machine than i need, rather than to pass on jobs because i didn't have the equipment.

    Good job as usual. Looks like it has good recovery time as well when spoiling back up to speed.

    I don't like how it's leaving a partially shredded subs sticking up even after a few runs.

    Good job and video Brother. Go-Pro down and needing hazard pay … lol. When the stick hit the camera is proof why people mulch not facing the road.

    That thing does really well on the TL6, which was already an idea size for a large homestead or small farm. A homeowner with a lot of land or a small farm could easily get a lot of use out of it. TL6 and 8s are quite affordable as well.

    You know, some comments don’t like the discussions but I really get an education and appreciate that Davin is an expert! Some big company is going to hire Davin and pay him a tub of money to sell sell sell and wreck my big munchie video obsession. Well that’s America.

    Just as a bit of silliness, each time the tripod falls over, I can't stop from saying out loud "Help! Help! I fallen and I can't get up!" So now the next time the tripod takes a fall you will hear this old broad in your head calling out "Help! Help! I fallen and I can't get up!" 😉😊😄😆😅

    It is interesting to see what the smaller units can do. From the grand daddy ones used along I-95 to this one. You can buy something like this one as a country home owner to keep your land tidy!👍👍

    That Rut-branded TMC Cancela manufactured low flow head is very similar in specs to TMC Cancela’s TLE 125 model, but without the front flap.
    Many of the videos TMC Cancela has produced shows this head on remote-controlled carriers used primarily for slope mowing/mulching.
    Very good video Davin!

    i like how he says "under 20k" their website shows $18,$$$, so by the time you pay tax and dock fees, your over 20k$ and theres no way that its worth that. make it 8-10k and you are marketable. i would not hesitate to take my old ford 4000 tractor and 80's era 72" bushog and cut every bit of that in second gear, and im certain it would mulch it up smaller than that unit did. at that price i would expect golf course smooth.

      He's right. Any of the mulching heads is over priced to the max. The thing is nearly wore out before it pays for itself . I looked into one and could not see it making any money if you do the maintance brake down on it. I just bought a high flow disk mulcher for allot less and I know it will out perform this drum mulcher I also bought a rut manufactured one.

    question with the mulchers u ran i noticed that they didn't come equipped with a front cover or guard to help limit anything kicked out of the mulcher. Is that u gotta get installed from factory or do u gotta order that from the factory and install it yourself just curious about that.

    I think you need to figure out if bringing a bigger mulcher into the equation is a better decision cost-wise. You're obviously taking longer with that smaller setup, so running the numbers, would it be more cost effective to go the bigger route? Run the numbers for us and let us know, if this was a job you were getting paid on, and had both options, taking all the cost considerations in mind i.e., gas, travel, time... , where does the margin favor you more? I'm aware this is not a paying job represented in this video rather he's trying this smaller setup to see what the outcome will be. However, I am asking what would be the best option and make the most margin. I think that if you had one of your personal rigs that had a bigger mulcher like we've seen in past vids, you would have torn through that at a much faster rate. But, having that bigger setup, would that eat into your margin with more expense?
    Inquiring minds want to know...

  • @williamgrissom1995
    @williamgrissom1995 Před 4 měsíci

    I noticed that without the front door flap that you can open and close, that this head throws stuff pretty bad.
    The only plus I can see is the overhead should be cheaper so you can charge less while still making profit. That might allow you to under bid the bigger guys on these small jobs.
    I'm just guessing, since I've never had a business.
    If I had the choice I'd go bigger, just so there would be more jobs I could handle. But like I said I'm just guessing mostly. I would suppose it would depend on what the most type of jobs are available wherever area you would be looking to get them. I think I would do lots of research before making a decision on what size to get.

    It is painful to watch this equipment going back and forth and wasting so much time. Why not go round and round the paddock in one direction and when finished in one direction, reverse the track and go over the mulched paddock in the other direction. I suspect this would halve the amount of time required?

    • @randyjennings7507
      @randyjennings7507 Před 6 měsíci +1

      I like your idea about going round and round, but in the real world there is always a lot of junk hidden underneath the vines and bushes. Anything from house trash to car tires to old engines parts and more. I have seen forestry mulchers bust into /fall through old septic tanks and pits get stuck. It's better to work the machine safe and take your time
