- Simple and delicious Filipino Cheesy Pork Hamonado Roll. Perfect for special occasion or Holiday dish. Try it and enjoy!
INGREDIENTS:
Yield: 4 pcs hamonado rolls
- 2 kg pork shoulder or pork butt ( pigue ), sliced hamonado style
- salt and ground black pepper
- 3 cups pineapple juice
- 1 cup brown sugar, adjust according to your preference
- lea and perrins worcestershire sauce, a few drops
- 1 tsp salt
FOR THE FILLING:
- 4 pcs hotdogs
- 5 pcs cheese sticks
- 1 large carrots, cut into 4 pcs sticks
- cooking twine, for tying the hamonado rolls
- cooking oil
- 1 can ( 140g ) pineapple tidbits, including the juice
- 1/4 cup shredded cheese
- water if needed

Hi mommy sarrap gusto ko po ng hamonado ilang minutes po totally pinakuluan sa marinate po sana po masagot gusto ko po gawin kaya lang po ang mahal ng baboy sa pilipinas he he ,pwede po ba 1 kilo lang pero ganon din po kadami ang mga ingredients like wosterine sause po ba yun at pine apples juice salamat po kabayan magandang christmas season panghanda po ito
Rachel, almost 2 hrs sa mahinang apoy ko pinakuluan yung Hamonado roll hangang sa lumambot pero depende pa rin sa klase ng pork na mabibili mo. Kung Isang kilo lang ang gagawin mo half lang ng ingredients ang ilalagay mo kung yung pineapple juice ay 3 cups, 1 1/2 cups lang ang ilalagay mo then mag add ka nalang ng tubig if needed kung hindi pa malampot ang meat.

Sarap
Tanong lang naman po, ano po yung ginamit nyong pineapple juice unsweetened po ba? Pwede po bang soy sauce instead of worcestershire sauce? Thank you po😊😍
Sweetened pineapple juice ang ginamit ko dito recipe. Yes, you can use soy sauce in place of worcestershire sauce.
Honestly po, hindi ito hamonado. Morcon po talaga yan. Napasakto lang na ang original morcon linagayan ng tomatoe sauce and pineapple juice and they used beef. So yung mga nagtatray magluto ng morcon (a recipe being cooked in luzon even during the time of spaniards), they tried to short-cut things by using pork (mas mura) and they used limited palaman, which is ok. Dahil sa pineapple at tamis eventually tinawag siyang hamonado. But it is actually morcon. Any old kusinera and who knows morcon in central luzon would know that this is morcon. Anyway, nashare ko lang po. I am also happy kase nageevolve ang pagkain.

Hi Jay! 2 hours kong pinakuluan sa mahinang apoy yang hamonado roll hanggang sa lumambot pero depende pa rin sa klase ng pork na mabibili mo, may iba na mabilis palambutin.
Ilang kilo po ng pigue kaya pag 50 person
More or less mga 10 kilos ng pigue ng baboy. Ang magagawa mo dyan ay 20 rolls ng hamonado.
Ilan oras po pakukuluan
Depende sa karne na mabibili mo minsan kasi matagal palambutin. Dyan po sa recipe mga 1 hour kong pinalambot sa med-low heat.

If your buying in the market you can request it to the butcher to sliced it thinly for hamonado roll.

How come no fat? 6:01 It is not ideal to fry the rolls after cooking because of the sugar. I am sorry it is not authentic.😢
It's hard to find pork meat that has more fat marbling here in Spain.
