There was just something really special about these movies made around this time like Back To The Future, The Neverending Story, The Goonies, Gremlins etc... Just simply timeless magical experiences I absolutely adore that'll never be replicated :-)
That is because movies were made from original screenplays...not simply movie versions and adaptions of other long and tired creations. It was a great period of originality and creativity.
1985 was a great year in film for sure! Let me add Breakfast Club as an honorable mention, because they're both among the 10 best films I've ever seen in my life
