Shooting Street Photography Film at Night!

- Tucumcari, New Mexico just screams vintage Americana, especially of the 1950s Route 66 era, and begs to be shot on film. Equipped with my Mamiya 7, Portra 800, and a trusty tripod, I head out to take some nostalgic, neon-lit motel photos, that would make my grandparents think of the their golden years. While I'm not super well versed with shooting film at night, I'm happy with the photos and excited to shoot more vintage Americana or night photography!

Great video dude! Tucumcari is a must see place for road trippers and photographers! I stopped there for some night photography while I was shooting a video series in Arizona!

Definitely should! For me, as snow falls up here in the north, this is the best time for it.

I spent two days there snapping up shots a couple of years ago. So worth it!
How did the photos turn out?
@@metalfingersfilm A lot came out pretty good. I ended up exploring some of the 50s motels and a lot of the run-down buildings. There's also an abandoned truck stop just outside of the town that had some photographic appeal.
@@metalfingersfilm several of them (along with some shots I took in Marfa, TX a couple of days prior) are some of my favorite non-portrait shots I've made.
