NU ROCK AWARDS 2010: Phil. National Anthem (KEVIN ROY a capella)

Every NU 107 Rock Award begun with Lupang Hinirang (The Philippine National Anthem). And for the past few years, we have seen innovative ways that our anthem was played.
The beginning of the last NU 107 Rock Awards was bereft of guitars, of orchestras, of a cacophony of voices.
Here we heard and saw KEVIN ROY alone onstage... with mic in hand. His voice alone (and the audiences') conveyed the patriotic fervor of the Filipino in rockin' fashion.
This move may be symbolic... or it may be not. A week after NU 107 signed off... the message for me is clear. It takes only ONE to start a revolution. Rock n' Roll and Pinoys ... WE ARE NOT DONE YET.
