Glad this is finally out! The price is a bit much but considering the pickups I get some kind of an increase. If the market wasn’t insane it would be closer to $1k. Spec’d nicely, love that it copies a LP Custom Silverburst all the way around. Gotta see how it feels compared to my 1980 Silverburst (besides weight).
@@mc30052 It's my money and there's nothing we can do about the cost anyway. Everyone acting surprised at the cost with every release the last few years is getting old. This is the new reality for us in all aspects of life. It's only going to get more expensive.
@@adamstrachn no pb dude ! I was on the edge also like you, but then I found a leak post about future price. Here in France it's really, really much more expensive. 1775€ vs 1099€ for the art sensation. It's close to 750usd difference...
@@mc30052 That is a huge difference compared to here it's only a few hundred bucks. Didn't mean to come off so course with you, I've had people screaming at me online last few days for the expressing interest in this guitar.
I personally don’t have a problem at all like everyone else who seem to outraged about Epiphone price increases. I have a Jerry Cantrell wino and it’s one of the best guitars I’ve ever had. Easily on par quality and playability wise with my Gibson SG standard. Epiphone have massively upped their standard big time to pretty much a premium level on the artist level and high end stuff. Combine that with the cost of materials and manufacturing in 2024 and it’s easy to see why they are as expensive as they are. Bottom line is, they’re incredible instruments these days and I wouldn’t have an issue paying the money. “Made in USA” means absolutely nothing anymore on a mass production level. Absolutely nothing. A quality instrument is a quality instrument whether it’s made in China, Korea, USA or wherever.
Yeah, it is what it is. In the early 2000s, the top Epiphones were made in Japan and were around $1k usd back then. The stock pickups and electronics were usually meh, so people swapped those out. So that and account for inflation 20 years later, $1500 doesn't exactly seem that far fetched. However, they're rolling out a non signature "inspired by" ebony lp custom next month. I would assume that would be $100-200 cheaper since its not a signature guitar. Can you do better for $1500 elsewhere? Of course. But if you really want a silverburst lp style guitar with an openbook headstock, you really don't have that many choices.
@@trevor4533 this is precisely it. How much did people spend on top to improve the original product years ago? I absolutely hope though that Epiphone continue to roll out these full sized open book Gibson headstocks. I absolutely love that they’re starting to do it.
@@kobyfitz96 Yup, that's their plan. There's a few more that I saw coming out this year. A Cherry ES355, Cream '61 Les Paul SG Custom with a trem, and a '59 Les Paul. Also a pair of firebirds. See epiphone Japan's t. witter for photos. Hopefully they finally ditch the Indian Laurel on the '59 though.
Epis are too expensive, following Gibsons tracks....but love the headstock and the look of the Custom! Brand new Gibson Tribute is $1750 Canadian but is being discontinued.
If i had bought one of the previous versions i would be pissed. At this point i feel like there's too many around to buy one. All you owners need to start a club or something lol. If they start making all epiphone lp's like that i will buy one
So apart from there being no art, a different headstock shape (that doeant effect playability) and different pick ups (that you can swap out anyway) - whats the difference between the other epiphones and this one?
I want one as plain as possible. No stupid painting on the back. I might have to get this. It's basically what i've always wanted. An Epiphone LP Custom in Silverburst with a Gibson headstock. And not £3,500
Good question, and something I've been thinking about as well. Here's what a couple comparable used epi's are selling for currently. base model epi les paul custom msrp $799, used $500-600 epiphone adam jones artwork msrp $1299, used $800-1100(for the cheaper ones, something like the "veil of bees" goes for considerably more) Epiphone greeny msrp $1499 used $1200-1400 Will be interesting to see what they bring in a year's time.
no matter what video or website or spec sheet i look at theres nothing about what kind of frets are on this. what the hell happened to putting fret type on a spec sheet
These look so much better than the Greeny.
Love my Epiphones and want this too
Now if it could only say Gibson on the headstock for that price it would be perfect.

Thanks for the demo. Looks killer! I'm happy I didn't pick up the art series.
No problem, We're happy you found the demo useful!
But it will cost you much more on this one...

Love the new headstock!
Ebony and mother of pearl blocks are also great
😍😍😍
a complete force of powerful Beauty.. All Custom Les pauls
Its more money than I paid for my Gibson LP Traditional in 2011 but still less than half of a Gibson LP Custom. Time to start saving !
Especially for the Gibson specs you get with it, total steal if you ask me

They only upgraded the Neck pickup. I'm glad I got the Art Series model for $200 less.
