    Meat grinder I used amzn.to/45LU435
    They have so many on Amazon starting from $50 and up! The one I chose has stainless steel cutting blades and plates so everything the food touches is safe which I prefer.

    Kofte/ kibbeh can also be raw, yes!
    I think I’ll try my hand at kitfo tonight! 🙌🏽🙏🏽 thank you for the video!

      No my fellow Ethiopian 😂 Nitir definitely doesn’t mean spiced clarified. It’s just clarified. Spiced would have been yetekememe Nitir Kibe.

      I second that. Fresh meat is key. I get mine from a local farmers market and it’s delicious and safe to consume raw even.

      We eat primarily Ethiopian foods. My husband is kind of a picky eater so he loves his Ethiopian foods. I can eat anything. That’s why I’m okay with eating what he likes.

    • @AmenaandElias
      @AmenaandElias  Před 10 měsíci +1

      I got this recipe from a Gurage woman here so I don’t know how much more authentic that can get… minus one herb that I couldn’t find in the U.S... What part of this isn’t correct according to you?

    • @megeez
      @megeez Před 10 měsíci +1

      No the recipe is correct. After you grind the beef, melt the butter separately. And add the spices including salt off the stove and then add the melted butter. Mix the spices and the butter (with your fingers if possible). The longer time you take to mix ,the better the taste. Add butter every now and then. Finally you put it on the stove to cook. Everything happens off the stove.
