As a raptors fan this run was absolutely amazing to watch and will never be forgotten. I remember chilling at my buddies place watching the shot in game 7 then weeks later at the same place watching Kawhi poster giannas on route to our first finals. Lastly going to the bar and watching the raps win it all while the whole bar and what felt like Canada exploded after we won there will be no feeling that will ever top that especially not believing the raps would ever win in my lifetime seeing it was unmatched

That was the best year of my life and I was so hyped also shouting during the raptors vs sixers series when kawhi game winner happened. True good moment in my life
Kawhi for 1 year had people in the media claiming he was mj incarnate and who could blame them.....man was a monster during that playoff run. 2019 feels like a lifetime ago now, but it was the last good year before everything went to shit in the world. Good times😓

This was such an epic playoff run from the Raptors and really showed how dominant Kawhi can be and why he's a future Hall of Famer. Just sucks that this guy is always hurt and that knee tendonitis must be a mother for him to deal with to make him miss this much time.

Honestly, his 2021 playoff run before he got injured was ridiculous too. I know people will remember that Mavericks series more because of how great Luka was despite losing, but Kawhi was playing great too

I had the clippers making the finals that year by kawhi injury. That was their only season
Kawhi singlehandedly saved that Clippers series against the Mavs. He torched the Mavs for 45 while going perfect in the 4th quarter I'm game 6 while getting a near triple double to beat the Mavs

Exactly people always talk about the injuries warriors had but never talk about this. Siakam had to play with a groin in the semis and Og didn’t play in the finals either.

Best player in the world, imo, from 2018-2021. I think he was well on his way to doing this again in 2021 before his injury. He was playing out of this world. Shame we might never see that from him again.

I still sometimes fantasize what would've happened if Kawhi came back the next season for the title defense...that team was so solid from the top-down. Definitely was a good fit for him, and prob would've been a much easier path back to the NBA Finals

This is one of the weirdest what ifs in history. It's most likely that he will be in the HOF but one can only imagine how the west would have looked like had he (and Paul George) been healthy these past 3 years. I'm not saying they were a lock in to win it all but they definitely would have made it interesting. At their peaks both players were some of leagues best two way players. Couple that with Clippers having very good role players we definitely missed out on some great playoff matches

That game winner against Philly still gives me goosebumps. That 2019 run was actually legendary . I’ll always rate kawhi highly . He shows up when the team needs him the most ( 2014,2019 )

What’s crazy is Kawhi wasn’t even 100% healthy during that 2019 playoffs run.
If you look at 5:25 you can see him limping after the dunk. It looks he just got a little banged up from the play but if you go back and rewatch each series you can see the signs. It’s another reason why I got respect for kawhi

If anything I feel like he has been extremely unlucky with injuries. His 2017 season especially the playoffs were a coming out party for him as a dominant 2-way player. And in the 2021 playoffs, he was looking as dominant as his 2019 playoffs run, if not more, only to be cut short both the times due to injuries. Playoffs Kawhi is a joy to watch, one of the most efficient players on the offensive end and a menace on defensive end.
