This gregorian chant, "Ave Regina Caelorum (simple tone)," is one of four Marian antiphons sung at the end of Compline during the four different liturgical seasons of the year. The "Ave Regina" is sung from compline of February 2 until compline of Wednesday in Holy Week. While the author remains anonymous, it appears as early as the 12th century.

    Hail, O Queen of Heaven.
    Hail, O Lady of Angels.
Hail! Thou root, hail! Thou gate
from whom unto the world, a light has arisen:
    Rejoice, O glorious Virgin,
    Lovely beyond all others,
    Farewell, most beautiful maiden,
And pray for us to Christ.

Very beautiful but I can't see the ending notes because three videos cover the screen

I did a quick screenshot as soon as the line came on before the notes were covered

Amen ❤

It would be wonderful if Gregorian Chant Academy could fix the end of this video so that the video isn't covered with ads before the end.

    LJCH!
The singing is clear, legible, the recording is wonderful. However, at the end, the icon of the new movie covers the lyrics and the "notes" of the end of the song. Can it be improved?

There is a mistake in the last word. It is ‘exora’, not ‘exorta’.

    • @GregorianChantAcademy
      @GregorianChantAcademy  Před rokem +4

Indubitably. "Exora" is what I sang... with a slightly trilled "r" instead of the typical American rounded "AR." :)

    • @GregorianChantAcademy

Almost all professional vocalists (e.g. Matthew Curtis or Peter Hollens) use some kind of pitch correction.
