I have loved Dessa since I first heard her sing Call Off Your Ghosts on Nightvale. She continues to impress me with her song writing whist also making my emotions feel raw and edgy and terribly human....
That's where I found her too! Not the kind of music I'd normally listen to, but I was hooked.

Thank you. My best friend has recently got out of a very acrimonious/vitriolic divorce and, finally, found a new potential partner but does not want to come in too heavy or strong. I heard this and sent it to him and said," Send this to her, it will seal the deal and show that you are vulnerable and really into her but not in a stalker kind of way." I just realised it is Dessa hitting the high notes at the end. I thought it was Aby. Wow. She has an amazing vocal range. They need to release the video at the same time as the single and hae all their ducks in a row but I kind of like that she is a bit quirky and not a slick marketing machine.

Dessa’s was the last show I saw in February 2020, at First Avenue, before everything shut down. She didn’t do this song (to my dismay, because it means a lot to me) but I’ll always be grateful for that show.
