Firstly, thanks so much for creating these videos! Very helpful! Secondly, the multiple camera angles work well for an A and B camera, meaning A is your primary that you talk into and B is for close up shots or shots of you talking into the A camera :).

Becca, these videos have been so helpful!!! Can you do a video about the whole Sales Tax thing!? This is so confusing and I can't exactly figure out what I'm supposed to do. I haven't made any sales yet.. but I'm scared if I do and don't have this part set up yet!
I will do a video on sales tax as soon as I understand it fully.... according to my tax preparer, you need to pay sales tax for things sold in your state. So I pay Georgia 7% for each sale in Georgia. Some states have started asking that you pay them for sales in their state, which is why TPT sends sales tax to some states and not others. But all of them have different rules! I would talk to a tax professional (but please, not H&R Block...) about what is required in your state
I love Canva! I did make a plan to choose paid option which i feel like should be over by now for my free trail but its not over ever time I check .. so anyway back to my point I love canva and made good use of the free trial option to brand my youtube channel and design my channel art. The only reason I chose the paid option was that if you search for youtube channel art and CZcams Icon canva ready has the exact measurement portions that will work for youtube. I know that was a little wordy but that is my evil master plan to take advantage of canvas services because why not?
Canva can be used free! I’ve used it for three years, for every blog post, every CZcams video, etc and I still don’t pay
Hi, great video as always! I just have a quick question regarding Canva - can you snip tool images from the clipart in Canva to paste in your powerpoint products?

Yes they can! There are many non-US sellers on TPT!
Do you prescribe to the 80/20 business rule, and if so, what is the 20% of TpT business activity that leads to the majority of results? My store is Rap Opera for Kids. Thanks!
Ironically, I am currently reading the 80/20 rule. I've always tried to be intentional about my actions, but I'm really trying to start thinking 80/20. I'm not currently sure, but I am looking and tracking to figure it out! More info will be out in the Q&A which should be Friday.

Becca Davis thank you and I just wanted to make sure that I’m not getting into anything that’s not legal but that’s a resource we use at school but we have to create alot of the resources we use to teach it.
When it comes to taxes - does being a premium TpT seller bring you more or less in your refund?
I’d like to be in your TpT critique. I’ve been a seller for maybe a month. I sell a variety of materials and have multicultural materials up currently cause I’m finishing up that unit/concert this month in my classroom.
JoEllyn Sumner what’s your shop name? Also, TPT does not send any of your income tax away so it wouldn’t effect it other than your deduction would be bigger since you have less money in your pocket

Hi! I have a questions. Do teachers write their own short passages to use on their products or do they get them from other sources?
Hi! So I teach music, so I don't have a tons of passages. However, due to copyright, I can say that they either have to write their own or pay someone to write it for them. You can't take passages from other places unless you have permission for it.

I have a new You Tube Channel for preschoolers and a long standing You tube channel (to help my students in 4/5 grade ELA).I I want to start a TPT store and make it link to my You Tube Channel(s) and visa versa. I am just now creating the items for my store, but would you know the best way to make it successful and how to link? Thanks
Hi! So you can literally just paste the link in the description of the video. In TPT’s description, you can highlight words, then click the link and enter your CZcams channel’s link!

Q & A: Would you ever consider quitting your job and working on your blog/tpt store full time? Why or why not?
I would also love to hear your thoughts on my tpt store (www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Simply-Curiosity) I make speech, language and social skills resources (mainly for speech pathologists but many of my resources are also suitable for teacher.) I started my TPT store in December 2019 and I currently have 25 products in my store. Thanks so much! Keep up the amazing videos!!!
So I didn't see this before I filmed the Q&A coming out later this week... but.... Yes. My plan is to take my business full time. I have found that even though I love teaching, I am passionate about helping other teachers. I want all of those super-overwhelmed-and-over-it faces to go away. I find I think about my business constantly. That won't be for a few years though, so I am trying to really enjoy my time in the classroom right now and do lots of experimenting!
