I wonder how that's possible? Has he ever put out an album from both bands in the same year?
@@alex_flamer My guess is that since it's been so long since a King Diamond studio album ('Give Me Your Soul... Please' in 2007), and even longer for Mercyful Fate, both projects have been slowly percolating for such a long time, especially with the health problems King experienced around the recording of that last album. Just taking both projects slowly but surely, and they are finishing up at around the same time.

Really waiting for the new Amorphis as well. In a way they are like Finland's Enslaved: they have been around for a long time and their sound has changed from extreme to more prog, but they still put out quality records after another. Their latest 2 albums are my favorites.

No mention of the new HELLOWEEN album coming this year? Their new single "Skyfall" comes out April 2nd. It's their first album in decades to feature original guitarist Kai Hansen and singer Michael Kiske in the band, in addition to their otherwise most recent lineup all together in one band.
main reason I'm looking forward to the new Cannibal Corpse album so much, "Violence Unimagined" is because I really want to hear how Rob Barrett & Erik Rutan are going to work and feed off each other as the main guitarists on this album. This will be the first time Barrett and Rutan are the main guitarists on a Cannibal Corpse album, ever. CAN'T FUCKIN' WAIT! \m/

Dordeduh - "HAR" is being released through Prophecy Productions / Lupus Lounge. Transcendental Romanian Black Metal with prog elements and folk instrumentation peppered into the mix. They consist of the former main music composers of the original Negura Bunget lineup. If you like Emperor, Enslaved and Opeth, this is a no-brainer.
I'm most excited about the rumored albums. Anthrax and Megadeth. I'm also hoping Gemini Syndrome releases theirs this year after two new singles.
