To give you an advice- you should look more into the paintjob- than you egg would look even better! For more realistic looks you got to paint different shades of a colour (maybe watch some tabletop how to paint).

What Kind of Clay do you use?

I think he uses some sort of polymer clay, and bakes it in the oven. I'm not 100% sure but that's what he used in his other videos, and the clay seems to be the same type.
