When I bought my e53 X5 I had no idea it would be a life changer. Even with the additional maintenance issues, I don’t see myself settling for anything less than a BMW. It’s hard to describe unless you have one, but there’s something so solid and enjoyable about driving it. From the growl you hear when you push down the pedal to feeling like you’re enveloped in luxury and comfort. There’s nothing like a BMW!
I love how BMW stays true to their design language, they have never strayed far from it. The hoffmeister kink, the kidney grill, and the corona ring lights. I have a 13 yr old e46 and people are surprised when I tell them that. Their cars age really well, never looking dated.
I agree, not biased because I have one but the design has aged so well I still get looks and questions about it often. Despite being a 2008 model, it fits in with today’s car designs well. For the money, nothing looks and performs better than a clean, well equipped e70 x5. Other than cost of maintenance, best car I’ve ever owned
A black E53 facelifted version is absolute perfection. They know that they make shitty products and that the older BMWs are way better, that's why they choose a not so good version of the E53 to desperately try to make the newer model look better, without success. lol

Well, if you have an E-Class and Z4 then I'm not surprised. But if you'd have 7 series and an E-class - the Merc would be the hard one ;). What I'm saying is that generalizing is not necessarily a good thing to do when comparing cars (or... whole brands).
They really messed up with the exterior design on the f15. It does not have the mean presence and the 'Get out of the way ' look the e53 had. A 4.6 is with the 20 inch rims is still the best looking SUV for me.

I have an f30 3 series and Merc E class. In general Mercs are softer than their BMW counterparts as in C = 3, E = 5 etc. You get what i mean?

All solid. Feeling and attachment aside, the F15 is objectively the best option. Now now the G05. Steady consistent progression.
i meant in comparison to BMW. I have a Merc and BMW at home. They Merc is really comfortable. But it does not have the same feel as the BMW.
