A lot of the modern 80's nostalgia-vibe is built upon the very jankiness that the tracking button on VCRs was sought to fight. You felt like a god making a tape more watchable by using tracking. Love your content picsandportraits.

All the talk of how healthful it is to bake yourself in the sun (with all sorts of comments implying the medical alarmists don't know what they're talking about) reminds me of how the cigarette companies played down the danger of cancer and emphasized the "glamour" and pleasure of smoking. "It's a treat instead of a treatment" - Old Gold commercial.
