I dont know why but autospliter doesn't work for me. I do everything. Downgrade mafia, setup game time.

I have some questions about livesplitter.
Livesplitter automatically split time after end of each mission or it must be done by hand?
And its possible to see live split in Mafia on single monitor?
You're welcome.
If the option "split" is activated (see 17:00) then Livesplit splits automatically after each mission ("start" and "reset" should be activated as well). There are only two exceptions and these are the mission "The Whore"/"The Priest" and Sarah, if you don't have a split that contains "Whore" and/or "Sarah", it will not split when you get to the church after the hotel segment and/or after Sarah. Other than that you can call the splits just like you want.
It is possible to see Livesplit and Mafia on a single monitor since I use the exact setup for years. Just run Mafia in windowed mode (start Setup.exe [as admin] and set it up accordingly, then run Game.exe and Livesplit [as admin]) and perhaps consider using a borderless gaming tool or DxWnd to lock your mouse to the window, otherwise you might click on stuff on the desktop during a run by accident. Now you should be able to move the windows that you can easily see both at the same time.

Hi, I assume you've already got the answer in the Discord but if you talk about seeing both Livesplit and the game, you need to uncheck the "Fullscreen mode" in Setup.exe and as recommendation use the windowed borderless tool that you can find on www.speedrun.com/mafia1/resources , it'll make it easier to place both on one monitor/screen (in case you only use one like me).

can you help me please. I have a problem with my Mafia. I have a problem with FPS, because the game does not see my dedicated graphics card and it runs only on integrated graphics card. I tried to set it up in Nvida control panel but its not working. Do you know how to fix it ? :/
Hey Cpt. Teplak, the only thing I can think of is doing the steps shown in this video czcams.com/video/EZm6VtNN0g8/video.html Windows should detect your video card after all since the driver is installed and it's possibly just an energy options error (happens quite often in Windows 10).

Hi, I want to ask how to put the timer into play. I can't do it even if I uncheck the fullscreen.
What do you mean with "timer into play"? Is the timer not starting even with the script being activated? If that's the case, you might want to start Livesplit as admin. If you're talking about displaying both timer and game on the same screen then I would recommend using the WindowedBorderlessTool linked in the ressources section over at speedrun.com and try to push the game to the top left (which it will usually stick to with the tool) and the timer to the right. Depending on your chosen resolution it should fit.

Really? Please enlighten us with what we could do in order to stop or at least reduce the crashes.
Alright so I have the czech 1.2 version of the game. And I played through the game without any kind of crashes. So I thought that the crashes might be happening because of the game version.
Ah well, first of all I practiced a couple of things back in the days with 1.2 and it crashes similarly. The problem can't really be detected with some playthroughs here and there since you'll very likely have no crash with 1.0 then too but if you do multiple one-sitting playthroughs the result will be more "significant".

Don't worry about that. It's great to see that someone was sparked on to think why the game could be crashing. As speedrunners we do tons of attempts and play the entire game in one sitting so even if there is a slightest chance for a crash, speedrunners will be likely affected due to the sheer amount of playtime.
Is the guide still valid?
Yes, the guide is still valid. There are some bits which need to be updated (setting up the autosplitter/load remover, non-leveled volume and some missions) but in general if you watch this tutorial, join the Discord and check the pinned messages, you should be "up to date".
