- FIRELIGHTS!!! Here are ALL the SCENES that feature one of my favorite characters from Season One of ARCANE - EKKO's right-hand man... fellow FIRELIGHT... the BAT VASTAYA DUDE or CHIREAN! The character's species is debated and he still has no name, but I hope that changes when we see a lot more of him in Season Two of ARCANE!

No matter how much he gets kicked and beaten around, he always gets back up. Now that's a good right hand man.
I am uploading a tribute dedicated to that aspect of his character as I am writing this. The video should be up shortly.
Even though he has few speaking lines, he is still my fav.
The bat vastaya is also my #1 favorite "Arcane" character so I get what you are saying.
I am sure that is something Boba Fett fans used to say back in the early days of "Star Wars".
Glad he has a name, been calling him Bat Dad for a while now.
Same! I used to call him "bat dude". I hope they say his name on screen in Season Two.

He has a pretty cool design. Ngl was nervous he would die with all the loose canons in this show. When Ekko shows where he and a lot of orphan/Fireelighrs had been living to Vi and eventually Heimerdinger I appreciated seeing Scar. Seems like a close friend or 2nd in command as Ekko trust him to fix his sprain ankle.
He's hot too
I think we actually got a name for him now! Scar!
I saw some talk about that and a reply from somebody on the show so I decided to use it in the title of my latest tribute to the character.
1:35 As always the animation work is so cool. His movements have such a satisfying swagger to them.

I feel like he's gonna end up dying trying to save ekko later down the line.
While I do not even want to entertain the idea, I must admit that Scar sacrificing himself to save Ekko would be the most logical and badass way for him to go. It's too early to tell what will happen in Season 2 of "Arcane", but I hope Scar survives until the end of the series.

damn I love him but he got his ass kicked by BOTH sisters, lol
Something about those encounters makes me respect Scar even more. The dude gets knocked down, but he gets back up and keeps on fighting for the cause. He also plays critical roles in both the attack on the airship in Episode 4 and during the fight at the end of Act 2.

I'm pretty sure he's a BAT not a Rat.
Yours truly also looked up "League of Legends" lore. Personally, I have deduced that this dude is a CHIREAN. But I could be wrong.
I have been split on what animal he resembles, but I do admit that BAT sounds much cooler. A few other people also have suggested to me that his design might be inspired by a bat. His ears are too pointy for him to be a rat-inspired creature. Changes added!

I think this is a bat vastaya, the Chireans are tiny yordle sized dudes that sound like ewoks

wait, so these bat people were people who got exposed by Shimmers and turned to bat-person right? So is it possible that the same Shimmer could turn Vander to Warwick? 👀
No he is a Vastaya, Shimmer can't turn you to Animals.

@@charlottelarragueta8048, 1:57 is when the group leaves for the bridge where we see the epic climax of the seventh episode. The journey is intercut with Viktor's experimentation, Jayce finding his childhood drawing and Heimendinger going to Zaun.

@@DanGrievous yeah it was the scene before when Jinx tied up Sevika there was a firelight I’m pretty sure it was Ekko he was standing on this rail thingy looking down at the other people running

@@PsychoAngell, thank you for alerting me. I found the moment you were talking about. It is actually Ekko himself on that girder. He has his signature mask on and weapon in hand so I know that it is not Scar.
I wonder how long he's in spying on them.
