Fuscherkarkopf (3.331m)

Fuscherkarkopf (3.331m), Hohe Tauern, Austria.
High alpine tour, very steep and exposed in places.
The tour starts from the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe through the clearly visible entrance to the Gamsgrubenweg. It is 800 meters through six tunnels.
Then it continues with a gentle ascent, past the special protected area "Gamsgrube".
After 2 kilometers you will reach the sign for the summit. Further on, the tour is very steep and exposed, secured in some parts.
The most beautiful part of the tour is the exposed ridge, about 400 meters long, which leads to the summit cross.
The total length of the trail to the top and back is 9,8 kilometers and the height difference per trail is 989 meters.
