I just bought a brand new 2019 ninja 1000 sx for 7,999$ OTD. I know its missing the cruise, quick shift and new HUD but it was a hell of a deal. I look forward to upgrading in a few years.

Carsten Hansen yes mate ... also a great bike ... for me though I think I’d like the versatility of the 1000sx more .... had a Blackbird years ago which was like a sofa strapped to a rocket ... ultimately sold it as it was too big/heavy/slow when it wasn’t shifting 👍🏻

Love the new front end look and the addition of cruise control! Miss the look and sound of dual exhaust on earlier models. I own a 2013 N1000 in addition to a 2018 N400 I purchased from you in December of 2018.
Akropovic full exhaust immediately, if not sooner!
Still no projectors headlights for z1000sx, the zx14r have gotten twin projectors headlights from the begining, looks so good, and offer much longer light throw. Why didn't Kawasaki gave this bike twin led projectors? It would have looked better than the reflector setup.

Love the raw feel that Kawasaki seem to give to their motorcycles. This machine is (as you say) ideal for guys like me (I'm 56) and am seriously tempted by one....

It's crazy how they barely did anything to the fairings, but made it a lot prettier. This has always been a great bike and Kawasaki handles it perfectly. Just updating it slightly every year.

I hated dual sided exhaust on my current ninja 1000...went with a full one sided Akropovic and it is AMAZING!!
Advantage; can clean and lube the chain without removing the exhaust on that side, and also the new sound is amazing...trust me, this is finally a good thing!
@@maldridge7630 I agree with M Aldridge on the exhausts. I owned a 2015 and I burned my leg on the left side exhausts when moving the bike in my garage, also the chain was a real pain to lube because the left side exhausts was in the way. This bike will be way better due to those two points.

My issue with this bike is that I wish Kawasaki would have a lowered clipon option for those of us who want a sportier feel. Not talking about track supersport type low but just like an an inch or 1.5-2, to make it a bit sportier. On a positive note, I LOVE that they finally added cruise control! Jusy Wigan they didn't half ass it and also added heated grips.
Definitely that's my next bike. I think it's a good upgrade from a Z900 (my current bike). A "gentlemen's sport bike" - nice said :)

Well, you said yourself there's a moulded bit on the fairing for a 12v socket.....it's an optional extra from the factory....my '17 Z1000SX has one.....and my '17 Z1000SX also has factory supplied 27 litre hard panniers that clip onto the rear end of the bike. You didn't look there did you? In the passenger grab rails there's a really ingenious bracket system the luggage locks into.

I got Versys 650 2018, looking to upgrade to Versys 1000 SE or Z h2 or h2 SX. But I think Versys is more of what I prefer.
The only thing about the bike is that only akrapovic makes a full system for this bike. No other exhaust company makes a full exhaust system for the ninja 1000 sx. What I want to know can you install exhausts on this bike that are compatible with the z 1000 ?

I like the new features on the 2020 model but I don’t like the new colour schemes. I wish they kept the blue colour. I test rode the 2019 and enjoyed it a lot. Very comfortable and good power. If I get another bike it will probably be this one.

Well they work on the road like any other bike. You twist the right hand wossname and the world goes blurry for a bit.

This one is really the step above i have been yearning for...
Go with it and do it blindly; there is just nothing else like it out there...all it needs are LED bulbs in turn signals (which were a promise at launch on 11/05/19) and Akropovic straight full exhaust.. and you will be in Heaven!!
Current trend of all blacked out design is quite opposite to what I like. Hope one day there will be more choices of bright and chromed shinny colors available again.

prefer the two x 1-2 exhaust style , not sure if I like the single side exhaust, obviously a quick shifter would be nice on mine and the new screen, but happy with my 2019 model for now :) the seats aren’t great to say it’s a tourer, the old 1980-2000 bikes are comfier! Great bike for the money nice torque

Only one complaint, Riding at night the low beam does not light up the road much in front of you, and when turning the beam of light is cut off some what ? Maybe Kawasaki could look at this issue for the next run of bikes ?

Having a hard time deciding between this and the BMW R1250 RS. Chain maintenance vs shaft is a big thing as I ride 650mi/week commuting and do all my own maintenance. On a BMW f700GS right now. Tough call.

I notice that they haven't changed the seats like they have on the European versions - the rear seat curves up on the EU models
Great bike but tell your factory rep that they're nuts for not offering the Kawi Green here in the States!
Just plain old black would suffice. Or mix it up white with some red or something. Not everyone is a Kawi Green disciple.

Ninja 1000 SX is a great motorbike & an excellent package! Hope Mainland can review this aspect as well.
But, this motorbike has balance related design flaw (drifts to the right due to heavy exhaust). That is why the previous generation Ninja 1000 had dual side exhaust(equal weight distribution on both sides).
Unfortunately, Kawasaki is not willing to solve the issue! They are in denial. So, Isn’t as perfect as typically one would expect from a Japanese Company.
If you are willing to ignore this flaw & perfect balance doesn’t matter to you, it is a great motorbike & smooth as butter!
The lighter exhaust version sold in some countries will work better!

Tracer too boring makes u feel old...MT10 too rabid and very tiring due to no windshield, horrible, horrible seat, and factory options will nickle and dime you!

Cant even test ride a Demo bike here in Australia, dealers dont have any Stock whatsoever ? How are they suppose to sell bike if they dont even have one for a test drive ?

Still no heated grips. Pillion seat is good for a sports type bike with handles on the side of the seat.
