You can calculate the SD using Standard Error of Mean

Hi there. Iam doing a meta analysis for my final year phase I project and iam doing it on the title association of gastric cancer with intake of fermented foods. The case control studies i have collected contains datas like odds ratio the number of cases and controls with occurrence of gastric cancer. There are no SD, mean datas given. So iam not clear what to enter in spss.

From my studies I have a lot of data concering „mean OS / PFS“ but the „standard deviation“ is often missing. In your video I see that I need the SD for my work in SPSS. I would like to ask a question. Is it possible to do a meta-analysis only with cross-sectional studies? I try to, but SPSS always asks for "treatment group" and "control group". Can I do it without a control group?
