I love how they showed the empowering scenes where the female characters from different dramas shined. 10 years have passed and kdramas have evolved so much, no wrist grabbing and weak female roles. Female leads are now successful career women and are just as on par with the male counterparts.
I am watching 2 dramas from 2015 and I know that's 5 years ago but sooo much wrist grabbing. I hate it. It happened to me when I lived there 😒

well that is what BEG is famous for, during their heyday they were(or maybe until now?) known as a feminist icon, they can openly make songs about female sensuality and they criticized korean industry's beauty standard(they talked about it in shows and even made parody songs about it on SNL)

@@raynatumbeva780 Yes but technically Jewelry last that long, cos the members changed constantly while the agency kept the name, hence its like After School with a graduation system, by the last few years, Jewlery's members are already totally different from the debut team already but they still promoting using the name Jewelry. hence its not exactly correct to say it lasted 15 years, if you can count that, then i can say NCT can last 20 or 30 years if its members come and go.

Y'all realize that the freaking Bae Yoonjung (OG Choreographer of Abracadabra and Sixth Sense) is casually performing with them? This is a legend stage here.
EDIT: Yes BYJ have been performing with BEG since 2009, but the last time they performed together was in 2011 with Sixth Sense and Hotshot. And even though BYJ also created the choreo for Kill Bill and Brave New World, they never performed together in promotions. Seeing her willingness to go on stage together in 2019 (Abracadabra 10th year anniversary no less!) is very moving.

There are reasons why BEG is the MOTHER QUEEN of queens of Kpop girlgroup -
1. They stay together with no change of members since 2006
2. PSY (one of Korean artist who's internationally well-known) used their 'Abracadabra' dance move for his 'Gentlemen' song. Ga-In was featured in the MV as well.
3. They have a badass choreographer Bae Yoonjung dancing with them on stage
Only legendary group could do so and that's BROWN EYED GIRLS!

BEG has Kim Eana (the best lyricist), Lee Min Soo (the best song writer) and Bae Yoonjung (the best choreographer) at their back since they were rookie until now, plus Miryo wrote and compose most of her rap parts which the songs deliverable so unique explained why they are the true artist.
Brown Eyed Girls are considered legends. But not Mother queens. Not many know them only because of GaIn and Abracadabra.

What i remembered abt last year is Hyorin got a lot of backlash from knetz bcs of her outfits or the sexy dance of her songs that didnt suit the awards' atmosphere
The audience couldnt really appreciate her performance since the dances were really provocative and its an award show..

And brave new world that song litterally snapped back in 2015. To bad it didnt get the recognition it deserved. B.E.G have really out done themselves every comeback. Even there earlier kpop releases where good when they where serverly underrated, all there vocals have always been above and beyond that of kpop groups. And Miroys raps have always been the best of the best considering there a girl group. It makes me wonder what there future holds artistically speaking, i wouldnt be mad if they didnt comeback for another 3 or 4 years because it seems they grow expectationally every time they comeback.

Great performance! I especially love how happy the lady in the pearl beads sitting with what looks like her husband and daughter is watching the performance the whole way through. I also loved that we had some variety in the backup dancers. Inclusive in a way which kpop acts rarely are.
